These lights are literally plug and play! I used a flathead screwdriver to pop out old lights, pulled the connection apart and connected to the new lights. Then pushed them back into place with minimal pressure as the clicked in. Looks exactly like the image in the picture! The functional part of these lights: They are exponentially brighter than the stock lights to aid in entering the vehicle at night. I have black on black interior in my M37x so these lights help a lot! You can only see them in a dark room, night time, etc due to wash out in regular light for anyone that is wondering. Considering purchasing a set for my girlfriend as well.
