WRC 8: FIA World Rally Championship (PS4)

This game is great I’ve been waiting for it to drop in price and I figured when WRC 9 came out this one would drop to like $10-$20 bucks and it did but I’m so excited I finally got it and it came in a perfectly packed case and the game wasn’t loose in the case either which is one of my biggest pet peeve of ordering disk online!! So thank you for the smooth and quick delivery which was also a day earlier than expected:)

This game looks great, controls well with the hand controller, but is SUPER immersive with a wheel and pedals. Excellent stage and car variety, including all official WRC ones and some historic cars. Career is way better than Dirt Rally 2.0 and is very challenging but a ton of fun. Force feedback with a wheel feels great in the game too and is the best experience. If you like Rally Racing and a challenge, you will find huge entertainment value with WRC 8.

Well, I've come to realize that I really like rally racing games. I much prefer racing over open circuits in beautiful countryside than turning one lap after another in closed circuits in a city or racetrack. WRC8 gives you a mix of road surfaces to test your skills -- asphalt, dirt, snow -- plus different times of day and weather conditions. I have been playing WRC8 on a PS4 using the standard Dual Shock controllers and enjoying the driving a great deal. What I have found more frustrating is the difficulty of winning races or progressing in the career mode. I started playing the game at the medium setting, as I have years of experience playing racing games. Wrong choice! I almost never could get above ninth-place in any race here -- nowhere near first, second, or third. After finally switching to the easy setting, I found it possible to wind up on the winner's podium from time to time, but I never made much progress on certain of the courses here, notably the unforgiving, tight and twisty roads in Monte Carlo and Germany. As for progressing in career mode, I don't have a clue. The game says I am 55% of the way through it, but it seems as if I keep playing one season after another, and nothing further changes. It has been weeks, if not months, since I unlocked any new tracks or races. I should mention as well some of the game's fluky physics. If you leave the road, don't be surprised to see your car fly up in the air like a beach ball when you encounter an obstacle! It's strange, because driving on the road feels pretty true to life. At any rate, if you like rally racers, WRC8 is certainly worth your time and money. Just don't be too upset if you don't advance as quickly as you might in other racing games...

I use a wheel and pedals setup and after I bumped up all of the force feedback settings to the max, this game is both fun and challenging. For me, rally racing is a nice change from the precision style F1 driving and other track racing. Pitch it into a corner and GO!

I guess this a problem with any racing or competitive game, but this one really lost its edge more quickly than expected. I would wait and try this once it’s price has been reduced.

Case was broken when arrived

Great purchase, came in earlier than I expected. The game is great, I'm used to F1 and Project Cars kind of driving so it's a challenge to keep them rallies on track but in my opinion that's where the beauty is. Excellent

WRC7を大分やって、8の海外版をやったところ、難しすぎでした！セッティングが決まっても、難しい可能性ありです。設定は優しくしたつもりですが、タイム差があります。内容的にはかなり満足。クルマもカッコいい。コースも7と違って面白い！ただ、今の自分には7があってるかもと思いました。オジェのトヨタ入りで、燃えますね！ヤリス車に乗ってとりあえず7でチャンピオン目指します！ あとは、日本版で、気持ちと操作がどう変わるか楽しみです。 【追記】WRC8をまたやってみたくて、走ったところ、セッティングを試行錯誤してみて、やっと走りやすくなりました。セッティングでかなり走りが変わりますね！後、リプレイ好きです！！上手く走りきれた後のリプレイは最高です！音はスピーカーからなので重低音最大にして音量大きめだと迫力あってヤバイです！ぜひスピーカーをオススメします。あとは、カッコいい所をスクショして楽しんでます。
