Feather Artist Club Proguard Blade

I just did my first shave with these blades and they are good, I use the other Feather DE blades and well these Pro blades are not sharp as those ones, but these do a great job, I did 2 full passes and on my 2nd Pass I could feel how strong these blades are, next time I will do only one full pass. I only shave once a week and I get heavy beard, lets see how many shaves I can get from one blade, I want to try the professional blades but I am scared cause many people have said they are VERY sharp, but well when I can use the Feather DE blades then I guess I can use the professional ones also.

The Pro Guard blade feels just as sharp as the Feather Professional blades, IMO. The difference, however is that the Pro Guard is somewhat forgiving while you shave whereas the Professional Feather blades are not. They are both fantastic blades but nicks and cuts are so much easier to get with the Feather Professional blades. My skin is about medium sensitivity so I can get away with using the professional blades and I do still like them, but I much prefer to use the pro guard. If you’re just getting started using a straight razor Feather shavette and your skin sensitivity is medium or more sensitive I would highly recommend the Feather Pro Guards.

I bought this blade set with Feather Artist SS razor. Gives a protected smooth shave. I found it to be much better than using a shavette that loads standard half double edged blades. He blade guard helps shave sensitive areas well like the neck, under the nostrils.

Very hard to source and took forever to arrive. The blades themselves are especially sharp and the slightest inaccuracy and you end up with cuts and nicks. Cut throat shaving using a Feather Artist handle is still a very precise operation. recommend shaving just your cheeks for a couple of weeks and then the throat and finally the more difficult areas. The blades are also ideal for using a pre-shave oil which would normally blog and clog a traditional safety razor. Each razor has the capacity to apparently do 10-20 shaves and I could easily imagine that but as a creature of habit I still use one a week and that works out way cheaper than the traditional safety razors. finally make sure you use a post shave balm. You'll find your skin nipping like map after a shave with these blades as it leaves a very close very smooth shave indeed.
