Davey Water Products BT20-40T2-USA Home Pressure Booster Pump with Torrium II Controller

I replaced a Davey Pump that had been in operation for fifteen years and it probably could have gone longer but I wanted to upgrade to the newer pump. We have been using the BT20-40T2 pump assembly for the last two years and it has worked flawlessly. I highly recommend this Davey Pump Purchased in 2021.

Love the pump! I was a little alarmed when I saw how small it is but it out performed my expectations! You will need a pressure regulator! Great product!

Just what the plumber ordered. I am the plumber. Been using these pumps for years for low city pressure situations. Still buying them. Only issue is that we need to repipe the auto fill lines for swimming pools to the meter side of the pump or the pump will run as often as the auto fill requires water. Big pools on these custom homes here on Maui. Auto fills run nearly all the time. This is absolutely no fault of the pump. Just fair warning for those with systems that have constant low volume draws, the pump will run at a negligible pressure drop.

Broke in two months - brand new well

Once i got it installed it worked great. The problem was i did not know i needed a 15 Amp outlet. I even called the dealer first and they said it was a regular plug. That is what my previous pump used.

Long story short, I had some install issues and couldn't figure it out. The seller, Primo Pumps, helped me as best they could for about 5 days until we finally discovered the install error and I got it fixed. I have a solar well pump that feeds into two 2500 gallon tanks and gravity brings it to the house. Our old pressure tank and pump gave out and decided to try one of these new pumps out. I have more pressure in our 2700sqft, 2 story house than we have had since we bought the place. Hopefully the pump lasts.

I did a lot of homework before purchasing the Davey pump. Lots of review not on this website and also looked at international users (the pump is Australian made). Overwhelming general consent is the pump is reliable for 10+ years of service and well made. So, I purchased this pump to deliver potable water from our water well holding tanks to the ranch at 80psig. Install was really simple and the pump worked flawlessly for 5 days. Then it failed to start one morning and indicated an electrical Fault via the panel light indicator. Called supplier since you know who disavows any knowledge of anything once they have your money. Supplier informs me the pump warranty will fix or replace, all I have to do is ship it back to them on my nickle and wait 2-3 weeks to process. Shipping will run me $180. That is 30% of what the pump cost. The pump and motor are fine, I believe the $50 motor start capacitor has failed since the pump powered and hummed but would not spin and the shaft turns easily and smoothly. Supplier won't send me a new capacitor under warranty. So I purchased a new capacitor myself (cheaper than shipping) and voila! Pumps works great. Message here is the pump seems to be well made and is very simple to set up and operate. The warranty is useless. So if you purchase the pump do so as though its all up to you to keep the thing running; because it is. I recommend the pump and the supplier's tech support over the phone was great. Just don't expect a warranty that means anything.
