HyperX Impact 8GB 2666MHz DDR4 CL15 260-Pin SODIMM Laptop Memory (HX426S15IB2/8)

Okay, so first of all my laptop had one SK Hynix 8gb 2400Mhz CL17 ram pre-installed, so I had doubt if my laptop would run this 2667Mhz ram as it requires overclocking. But I took a chance and bought two of HyperX 2667Mhz 8gb ram sticks. And to my happiness, the BIOS did support XMP 2.0 and my laptop is now running at 2667Mhz dual-channel memory with these 8x2(16) HyperX ram modules (checked both in BIOS and CPU-Z).Basically there were two reasons I went for this purchase:1. Disclaimer for this ram above has mention that overclocking will support for intel i7 xxxxHQ and xxxxHK series. Mine is i7 7700HQ.2. Also I went through specifications for this ram model in the Kingston website, and it mentions that the ram would run at CL15 for 2667Mhz. But, if it doesn’t overclocks to 2667Mhz, it would run at CL14 for 2400Mhz (either would've been a win-win situation for me). So I crossed my fingers and went for this purchase, hoping that one of the two conditions would serve my purpose.Now, I would update more on the performance, gaming improvements, or any issues, if occurs later, with this ram upgrade. As of now, system is running just fine, but I could feel that windows is showing bit delays when booting up, maybe 2-3 seconds late. It could be due to new memory modules are onboard and bios taking time to get used to dual-channel memory.

Bought this ram on 15th March 2021 for ₹3,697.52 a few months ago it was being sold at a price of ₹2700-2900.Even though it is expensive in comparison to its competitors but I bought this considering its CL value at 2666 Mhz.My Laptop is currently on an older processor i3 6th gen . I use this laptop only for basic purpose of watching movie, reading pdf and accessing online resources.Initially, my laptop was having only 4GB (Hp 240 G6) then I upgraded it with more 4GB way back in 2019.I worked great but with the passage of time, I was having the issue of high memory requirement.This time, I upgraded one 4GB ram module with 8GB and now it had 4GB+8GB.My laptop is a 6th gen i3 , so it supports ram frequency of 2133Mhz DDR4 ram. It was clear that any ram module will work better for my laptop.So I went ahead with 2666Mhz as it supports higher frequency, if in the coming few months, I go for a new laptop then I can use my 2666Mhz ram there.Guys those who are confused about different ram frequency then make one rule clear to you, all higher frequency will be supported if your laptop supports 2133Mhz then you can use 2133Mhz/2400Mhz/2666Mhz/3200Mhz etc to your laptop, the only condition is that your newer ram should not have a lower frequency than the existing ram otherwise the performance will be bottlenecked.One more thing to be noted is that always try to have a Ram module that supports lower CL value, " lower the better".One more information guys , if your are using SSD in your laptop then always try to have more ram. It is generally not recommended to have a paging file on SSD as it unnecessarily increased TBW . Hence it decreases the drive life. I was running short of memory because my laptop don't have paging file though it is not recommended to remove paging file but for faster performance, one can remove it having ample installed ram.PAGING FILE : A PART OF YOUR HARDHARDISK BEING USED AS RAM.In case of ssd, it comes with limited write capacity. Therefore to extend life, remove paging file.Go ahead better than crucial and other brands as it supports lower CL value.And it also supports XMP in case your processor supports over clocking etcAll the best guys.

Those who have Alienware 15r2 lookout for something else, this ram works fine even on bios you will see full 2666mhz speed, but the problem starts when load into windows and play games, random bsods, memory errors, probably have to do with Alienware's crippled bios, as I've tried with multiple bios and multiple os, it's the same, I can't blame the brand.. tbh it's a really value for money memory.. may be the 2400mhz with slightly higher timings might work, havnt tried it yet, I even tried with new set of 2666 replacement kit.. it's the same.. on bios memtest no error.. probably have to do with something else.. good seller and good brand.. sad Alienware bios is like this..

The installation is just a click in your ram slot ,unless u know how to open your laptop without breaking it and it overclocks by itself when it's needed and I was doubtful as I got my laptop nitro 5 from us that if ruin it with the ram I would void the warranty but believe me these rams specially hyperx are a must buys and built with awesome architecture

I ordered this for my laptop (msi gf65 thin) that came with only 8 Gigs of RAM. I was afraid that I might run into some compatibility issues because the default RAM that my laptop came with was Samsung M471A1K43DB1-CWE 3200MHz CL22 and this one was 2666MHz CL15 but I'm happy to say that I faced no such issues at all. I played COD warzone after installing this RAM and just loved how smooth the gameplay was. The game never froze after this upgrade. You definitely won't regret buying this.

If you are adding this with your old ram, then make sure that the latency is same in same frequency. If you are buying 2 sticks then follow the steps-i) unplug the AC power cable and open the back case of laptopii) then disassemble the laptop battery as well as cmos battery. Then hold the power on button for atleast 20 sec. If you don't have the cmos battery or if you can't find it, then hold the reset bios button on the motherboard and the power on button simultaneously for atleast 20 to 30 sec.( Bios reset button is very small, for finding it, see guide book or manual that came with your laptop).iii) after all these, install the ram properly and gently.iv) then install the cmos battery forst, and then the main battery.v) finally, plug in the AC cable and power on the laptop normally. Once it is on, and everything is ok, then power off the laptop again, unplug the AC cable, and close the back cover.** This process will reset your bios completely and make everything default. Generally all laptops detect xmp and dual channel automatically. So no problem. U can check that in bios later on.

Great value for money got it for $50 CA . Product looks and feels premium. I have a 4gb laptop and this thing turned it upside down! The performance improvement is day and night before when I was playing a game and hit windows key then the whole laptop would freeze but with this no lag what so ever really good upgrade for non gamer laptops, multitasking is now fast and even goggle chrome is running flawless cause it is ram demanding 😒. The 2666 model is what I have and glad I didn't go for the 2400. **Before you buy make sure it fits your laptop** go to crucial website to see the ram compatibility. Really satisfied customer. And plus they give you a small sticker that says hyperX on it, I haven't applied it in the picture.

Purchased these SEPARATELY (2x8GB sticks as it was cheaper at the time) for my Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-54) i5-9300h & GTX 1650 4GB Mobile, super easy to install after removing the back & recognized right away upon boot. I've been playing Resident Evil Village with a mixed graphic setting & I'm getting 60fps with the occasional dip into the mid 50's but it runs beautifully all things considered! It beats gaming on my old Lenovo Ideapad 305-15IHW LMAO!

Facile à installer et reconnu directement par le PC.Je l'ai ajouté à mon PC portable pour avoir 16 giga au total. Il est dit que c'est mieux d'avoir par paires de même marque pour les barrettes de RAM ce n'est pas mon cas mais fonctionne très bien .

HyperX ram installata e subito riconosciuta. Al secondo avvio il notebook appare molto più reattivo. Testata con programma dj la grafica delle forme d'onda prima tentennanti ora scorrono lisce come l'olio. Ottimo prodotto. Soddisfatto ne ho ricomprate anche per altro pc .
