It fits loose, and on the long side. Great for basketball and spinning classes. When spinning, I recommend wearing a cycling inner liner for comfort. The draw string is sufficiently long, and the pockets adequately deep. However the pockets are not sewn to the main fabric of the shorts, so if you have keys, it'll swing a little more when running. Overall, it seem durable.Update - 12/16/2013Just washed it, and it shrunk a little - much to my relief, since the shorts was boardering toward the baggy side. Actually fitted me much better after the wash.
