Cuts are V shaped, so not sure backer rod will stay put. Did anyone used sand and what kind?** A: Hello, I used this on both saw cuts and hand cut expansion joints. I did place sand in the joints and 1/8-3/16 depth from surface. I used kiln dried play sand. Product worked great was able to roll a full tool chest over joint when epoxy floor coat cured. Used about 2-3 tubes per 22’ joint. Shaved flush to surface very easily. Be sure to prime before epoxy coating is applied. Very happy with product has been down a year and stood up to the extreme Minnesota winter and hot summer. **Q: Can this be applied vertically as well, to just about 4-6 inches high? I need to fill a vertical eroded mortar gap / crack in brick veneer. Thanks** A: No it cannot. Product is too thin to hold in place vertically. It has the same property as self leveling caulk. **Q: How many feet of standard garage contraction/stress joints will the 22oz tube fill? Im not familiar with cu inches.... thx** A: It’s been a while since I used this stuff but I seem to recall it will do about 10-15 feet. **Q: Can this be applied to a concrete floor joint before grinding/polishing the floor?** A: Yes, our concrete floor is 30 by 56 with expansion control cuts every eight feet. adter the PC extreme cured i used a sharpscraper to trim the excess, I sanded in several places. Very liquid. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality product *by J***R on September 2, 2025* Used this to fill saw cut control joints on a garage floor. This is a low viscosity product. A little thicker than wood glue in a bottle. It is easy to use with a quality dual caulk gun. Flows well into cracks and self levels. It was about 80 degrees and I waited more than two hours before trimming the excess off with a heavy duty razor edge scraper. If you do it too early it doesn’t trim cleanly. In 48 hours it was fully cured but still has some flexibility.
