Old School, upgraded with modern tech.
First, this is a very good IEM. Bright sounding, balanced with good, not superior, bass. Soundmagic aims for the wow factor, much like 'special effects' in ear. Everything is forward, some sound depth but not the blow away type. Crystal clear sounding with excellent volume. A slight, MINOR drag in the sound; understandable with the multiple sound effects going on. Reminds me of a smaller, in ear version of the SONY MDR-7506 over ear headphone. High praise, but this 9mm driver cannot outperform the 40mm driver over ear. The more modern tech reminds me of that headphone, so I classify the sound as 'old school'. And old school in this case is very, very good. Build quality is excellent. Soundmagic sticks one of the headphones into the styrofoam holder, so it must be pushed out from the back as opposed to pulling on the wire. In summation, Crystal clear, balanced sound with smooth bass, not sub-bass drop; a mix of dynamic and reference. Highly appealing to the most people, but not focused on the sound addicts. Update: With a high quality Dac/Amp, these earphones are extraordinary. It took some break in, and I switched the source of my music output. These earphones sound like high quality over the ear headphones, with sub~bass drop. Bottom line is my music has come alive with seductive, accurate sounds. Very pleased at the improvement over the e10c, and I hope for long lasting durability.

Best earbuds under $50, highly recommend them!
I bought these earbuds for my brother, he's a musician and he loves them! I have an old ipod 5.5 gen with the Wolfson DAC and I tried them and I was blown away. I have some decent Sony earbuds MDREX110AP that I listen with my ipod which I bought on sale at a store for $17.50 decent sound for the price, but later on I tried the soundmagic and wow! These are definitely worth the extra bucks, good quality materials, the casing is made out of aluminum so it feels cool to the touch, great attention to detail. And Includes a small hard case for travel. I think I'm gonna buy another pair because the sound is unbelievable, so clear! Highly recommend them!

Excellent sound for the cost. A little bright. Wimpy cable.
Disclaimer: I can only describe what I hear with the pair of earphones I got, using my "reference recordings." and audio gear. Your experience may differ. I strongly disagree with reviews that criticize the bass on the SoundMagic E11C earphones. Fortunately the default silicone plugs fit my ear well and I make sure to put them firmly into the canals with a tug on my lower ear lobes and use gentle pressure pushing in from the sides... very satisfying bass into the deepest register, whether acoustic, percussive or electric. But if you don't get a good acoustic seal, the bass will be anemic. I've had to adjust them myself when I was a little off on placement. Out of the box, they were overly bright yet uncannily accurate on instrumental nuances. I could hear the clarinet pads clicking on Mozart's concerto (Academy of Ancient Music). Never noticed THAT before! To be fair, I'm more accustomed to my Grado SR60i over-the-ear phones---in the ear is bound to be a different sound experience and that may be overly influencing my evaluation. Even after several hours of break-in, I still believe they are a shade on the bright side but still remarkably balanced overall, especially for a single driver. They are quite dynamic, with sharp percussion and musical performance immediacy . I'm 65, so younger ears may find the tonal quality more elevated in the treble than I did after full break-in. If the vocals are overly sibilant, you're gonna hear it. I used a direct, variable output from my vintage Sony 707ESD CD player (I told you I was old!) I didn't use the mic & tone controls: ... SoundMagic should ditch these in exchange for a more substantial audiophile grade cable that's about six inches longer than the current length. Still, the answer is YES... I would buy them again.

Microphone doesn't work
The sound quality from the headphones is fine. However, the microphone doesn't pick up sound. You have to yell into it for the input to register on a computer. I purchased these headphones to use on conference calls and they are totally useless for that purpose.

Good sound quality but eartips are just not working for me
I've been using Sony MDREX15AP earbuds for a long time as those are darn cheap and worked great, but every new pair I buy lasts half as much as the previous one (last one lasted barely 1 year), with audio getting low on the mic (Left) side after some use. So I thought I'd go to something a bit more expensive and hopefully better quality / more durable. Positive: the sound is loud and clear. Negative: the eartips didn't fit. I found them hard to put in the ear, plus if I tried to really push them, they would become uncomfortable very quickly, plus the noise insulation wasn't that good. I tried the smaller ones, and others provided, but none was really fitting well. And the material is thin and not very compressible, so there is no room for comfort. So I ended up reusing the eartips coming from my Sony earbuds (I have a lot of them now), which thankfully fitted ok, and got immediately both the comfort and noise insulation. The outside layer of the eartip is much thicker in the Sony eartip, plus the material feels much better.

Great sound quality - terrible durability.
I've bought 3 of these because the sound quality is really quite good, especially at this price point. However, all 3 have broken now as the wire is incredibly thin. The last pair has not even lasted a week, maybe a sign of worsening materials? I am not sure. Really disappointed.

Great
Sound is great. I would equate them to an in-ear version of the regular Apple AirPods. They are not quite AirPods Pro quality, but still good. I love how small and compact the buds are and was specifically looking for earphones that didn’t have the little stem at the bottom of each bud. My use case is super specific - I use these to practice piano/keyboard so I don’t disturb anyone when practicing. I plug these into the keyboard and voila, I have privacy and am not bothering anyone with my annoyingly basic beginner piano songs. I also put headphones over my ears when I want to watch a video lesson AND play the keyboard in private. I use my AirPods Max over these and it works great! Very happy. Hope they last.

Great sound, possible issue with fitting my ears - need to experiment with supplied rubber buds,

Not worth the money
I was expecting better quality for this price range. The sound is not great, no bass at all. The buttons will not last long. Not at all impressed

clear, pleasant sound, good volume, comfortable to wear
sound is very good nice to have adaptable earplug sets (3x).. i do recommend to try it out... i found that righthand ear i needed a different plug from the lefthand ear... wire split to left/right is symmetric... i would have preferred to have more lead left than right. as most sets do. but not an issue. control ( take/refuse call, volume + and - ) not in line of sight, its too close to earbuds.. but again, a matter of getting used to. recomend them, overall :-)
