Fantastic Nigari
I'm using this product for magnesium, it works perfectly. It's not from the Japanese area near the polluted oceans so I feel safe about buying this purely made product. Quality is pure. I've never made tofu and things of that nature so I can't speak on that but this product does what I need it to.

It turned out great. The taste is so different from the store ...
I would prefer to leave a comment after I actually used the product. I used this to make tofu few days ago. It turned out great. The taste is so different from the store bought tofu. Hard to explain the difference, but I wasn't the only one who could tell there was something different in the home made tofu. We will eat more fresh tofu. The tip is following the instruction. I didn't follow in the beginning which took extra time to repeat the process. Once you follow, you will have a fresh tofu for your meal.

Slight modification of recipe needed
So i tried this the as soon as i received it and it didn't work, it never curdled,i added more nigiri then ultimately lemon juice which has worked in the past but to no avail. I chalked it up to be a combination of from what I've read online, not enough nigari (i followed the package recipe), old beans, over soaking and over boiling. I gave it another go but following an internet recipe which required 1tsp to 1 cup of hot water. I started with half and waited 10 mins and as with my first try nothing happened, i added the second half and it instantly started curdling. I rested then molded it and you see the results in the pics. This was last night and i have not eaten it yet but texture and consistency are in point. I'll update when i finally try it. Update: I tried it and it was good, there was a slight bitterness when i made it with lemon juice that was noticably absent.

Makes great tasting tofu
Makes great tasting tofu. Works really fast curdling the soymilk. If you want the best tasting tofu, this is the product to use. First time I made tofu was around 40 years ago and this is what I used. I tried other things, but the tofu does not taste as good as it does when you use Nigari.

very good quality food grade magnesium flakes
I actually used this to make 'magnesium oil' - (look online for the recipe) as a topical spray for transdermal usage. It actually does help relax the muscle soreness, I also put some coconut oil on over it as a carrier oil, after I spray it on. Not sure how much magnesium is actually absorbed; but since some people have trouble ingesting magnesium (digestive upset) this is one of the only alternatives there are for them. This seems very clean, very good quality food grade magnesium flakes.

Choose it for tofu
At the same time, I bought two different brands of products to make tofu. The tofu made by this product is very effective. It is worth recommending
