Men's Metropolitan Crew Dress Socks, 3-Pairs

Extended Size Metropolitan Goldtoe. Rated for size 12 - 16. I usually wear a men's 12 EE extra wide shoe. Standard size socks crush my feet and make them turn blue! Recently tried buying some Wrangler extended size crew socks, and even though they were rated as size 12-15, they were much too narrow. I suspect size 12 in China or Vietnam means something different from size 12 in North America. These Goldtoe socks fit me well, and would probably work for someone up to size 13. They are labeled up to size 16, but anyone over size 14 might have a hard time with these. My only complaint is I can't tell where they're made. The say "Designed in Charleston SC" on the package, but no actual country of origin... That probably means China, but at least they're designed by someone familiar with actual North American sizes. I'm going to have these 5 stars because I've heard good things about Goldtoe as a brand, and I'm very happy to find comfortable dress socks. If they develop holes or otherwise quit on me I'll come back and revise this review. But they look good, feel good, and they weren't absurdly overpriced either. Decent product!

I have bought my husband both the heavier weight and the light weight version of these socks—calf length. The socks are of high quality as you’d expect from GoldToe. He does prefer a lighter weight sock with his dress shoes—not as snug and not as warm—less sweaty. The fabric is soft, the elastic is snug but not tight and has held its strength. He had purchased a cheaper brand previously that lost shape and elasticity quickly—so the his time he left the purchase up to me. I went back to tried and tested. These socks have stood the test of time and are VERY reasonably priced, thus the reason GoldToe is still around.

I needed thin dress socks because my shoes were too tight. Well these socks are thin. And I mean thin. I can’t imagine they will last more than a few months and I can’t imagine they cost more than 10¢ to manufacture. Anyway, my shoes are too loose now. Buy only if you are in a bind. Literally.

I finally found some nylon socks and really like them. Have only been able to find cotton socks locally and they tend to leave threads on the carpet.

These have got to be the most awesome men's socks ever! I love wearing them no matter what footwear I am wearing....boots, shoes or trainers, they are so comfortable and look really smart. Great value for money as well. Definitely recommend them.
