I purchased this for my grandson who is 3. He is all about Trains and this set is exceptional. There are several ways to build your rail yard and the pieces fit together effortlessly. The buildings take a little time to construct and of course, as soon as they are constructed, my grandson knocks them over. I like the fact that these wooden tracks are interchangeable with other wooden railway systems. Also, the battery operated engine and train cars stay on the track really well. He enjoys running the train both backward and forward. Very sturdy product and well worth the money. He continues to enjoy his railroad. Very pleased. (now, if only Gaga was as good at constructing the track as my grandson is, lol).

This train set is compatible with almost all of the wooden train sets on the market. We’ve been buying these sets for kids and grandkids for over 35 years, so we can build some pretty massive tracks. THIS SET, however, is a really great value. You get enough track to build a pretty nice dual level system, PLUS the engine train is battery operated! Additional sets or track are reasonably priced. This is a durable toy that is perfect to hand down through the years. Like Legos, these building sets are great for brain development, and I must admit that I still love to play with these! 😉

Wonderful train set - my 4 year old son LOVES this set! Great value and quality for the price! The customer service is also great - I had an issue with the motorized train and a new one was sent out the same day I emailed and was to me within 2 days!!! Would purchase and recommend this seller and set again and again!

My 3 year old loves trains and was so excited to get this set for his birthday! The wood pieces are really good quality. The trains themselves are a flimsy plastic material. The motor in the locomotive isn’t very strong, but that’s to be expected because it’s powered only by a AA battery. I don’t expect the motor to last very long, but I do feel like the price matches the quality.

My 3 year old son loves to build things like blocks, when I saw him trying to put what was left of an old train set together I decided to get him a train set and we were so happy to see how much he loved putting together this set and playing with it. He was saying choo-choo all day and has been carrying the set around with him wherever he goes ever since. Makes my day every time I see him with it. For some reason my kids like the wood train sets better and the electric train sets don't keep their interest long. This was one of the few wood train sets with a battery powered train, and I liked that it also had push vehicles and a little city around the wood train so he could enjoys watching the train go around or being interactive with the push vehicles as well as putting the tracks and other parts together. He loves learning names of different parts, like the little street signs, and now his older sister wants one. Worth every penny, product exactly what I expected based on description and pictures, it came quickly and was in perfect shape when it came too.

Number one toy from my kids' birthday. They absolutely love it! The tracks fit well with the other wooden brands. Having a tiny wooden track train that actually has a working motor is awesome. Very happy with this purchase. The train even works off the track, on wood floor, on carpet, even climbed over the molding between the two flooring types.

I bought this for my 5 year old son ... he absolutely loved it ... put it together right away and off he went. Put the batteries in the train and it worked perfectly. Great product for kids, arrived fast, just as described .. highly recommend getting it for your kiddos ..!!

Overall we like it! a lot of parts and buildings/items to add, but the train itself already lost 1 wheel (after 3 weeks of using it) and it has issues going "uphill" (not the strongest). We already ordered a different, stronger train.
