Revell 05727 R.M.S Titanic Plastic Model Kit Gift Set

Bought this as a gift and my teen loved it. Assembled it in days althouh he needed a better sticker adhesive than what was included, so we bought that extra, will come in handy for future models. Loved that you get 2 models in one.

Preso durante il covid per passare un po' di tempo. Materiale tutto in plastica con istruzioni dove montare i pezzi. Cosa molto bella, il fatto di poterlo dipingere! Consigliato!

Overall, this model was well made and came with everything needed for a person that does not have a stock of paints and brushes. I did buy a finer brush to help with some detail, but it isn't necessary. You will need tweezers as some of the parts are quite small. The paint that is supplied is easy to work with a dries quickly, but there are colours called for in the instructions that are not supplied. I don't think the extra colours are necessary as the model turned out just fine without. There are a few places in the instructions that are not very well explained, but if you have any modeling experience and some imagination, it is not a big issue. The only frustrating part was having to drill holes in the stacks and the deck for the "cables" (thread) and then trying to tie knots inside the stacks... my suggestion; patience and glue!

I was very pleased with the quality of this kit. It contains two models in different scales -- each with a stand -- and the molding on both is very good. All paints needed are included, along with a brush (maybe not so good, but nice to have), Revell cement, and even a roll of black thread for the rigging! Neither model is too complex, and the instructions are clear pictographs. There was very little 'flash' on the parts, and nothing was bent or broken. I was pleased the kit was manufactured in, and shipped from, Poland (Brawo, Polska!), and it was packed very well in a sleeve of heavy cardboard. The only thing a bit negative is that the box was way too big for the contents which could result in damage from shipping, otherwise, it was great. As shown on the box, this would be a wonderful gift for young or old -- and the price was amazing. Thanks to the vendor, PolishBookstore for providing a great kit at a great price! And thanks to Amazon for facilitating it!
