The media could not be loaded. Shipping was fast! The price was great for the quantity I received. The items were nicely packed, each in 3 separate bag by color, which allowed me to mix and calibrate them the way I liked. I used them for my plant project, and they worked perfectly. The surface is highly polished, and the colors are vibrant and well-saturated. Less red as was claimed on original picture in product description, and I am taking one star for that. Otherwise, I am Very satisfied with this purchase! I cannot say anything about heat retention just because I’m using it for the different purpose.

The media could not be loaded. Instead of a fireplace, I use this in a planter. I’d like to cover the soil with some type of rocks or pebbles to keep nasty pest out and moisture in. A little expensive for a plant pot, however, I love them!
