DTK DCB609 9.0Ah Battery Replacement for Dewalt 20V / 60V Battery, DCB609 DCB606 DCB612 20V 60V Battery Replacement

I have a Dell Inspiron N5110 and this battery is perfect. It fits nicely and functions perfectly with over 3.5 hours of energy intensive activity like watching full length DVDs from the built in DVD drive, while going through my email, with an external cooling fan plugged into one of the USB2 slots. I'm a certified Dell laptop technician and can tell you that this is a superior product for an extremely reasonable price. It does have a "speed bump like extension that sticks down from the battery and raises the back of the laptop up by about one inch, but this does not interfere with the functionality or comfort of using the laptop in any way. If you are placing the laptop on your lap without placing a cooling tray or pad between your lap and your laptop, you're a fool. The heat buildup could cause you to burn yourself and you also run the risk of burning up your hard disk. If you actually use your head and use a cooling pad or tray on your lap, the riser will cause no discomfort. That bump is necessary because nine cells will not fit into the same space as six cells. It's better to have a battery with a riser than a battery that sticks out past the back of the laptop.

1st, my OEM battery was nearly 7 years old. With a 100% charge, if I unplugged my laptop would die in less than 10 minutes, so it definitely needed to be replaced. 2nd, I didn't read the description well enough, and failed to see this was a larger battery than the OEM battery. Totally my fault for not reading more carefully. That means it's not a flush fit like the OEM battery, and it raises the back of the laptop up just a little bit, and is heavier. That's not a big deal for me, since my laptop is really a "portable desktop." 90% of the time it sits on my desk. Battery life is excellent. I got more than 5 hours (probably more, but I didn't keep strict track of the time, so that's a conservative estimate) of constant use out of it (100% to 12%) after I charged it up the first time. If size and weight are a priority, get a flush fit 6 cell battery. If long battery life is more important than size/weight, this is a great option.

Used the battery for the first time today, 60v/20v (9ah @ 20v battery). Cutting treated 6x6s with my 60v dewalt saw. This battery did not finish the second cut. Then I used one of my 4 year old Dewalt batteries with the same 9ah @ 20v and made 11 cuts. Not claiming to be a electric engineer or a mathematician but IF the Dewalt battery did roughly 7 1/3 times the work would it be really a 66ah@20v battery or would this battery be a 1.2ah@20v battery? None the less I regret buying it, seemed too good to be true should have went with my gut on it.

I have an old Dell Inspiron n5010 and the original battery died ages ago. I brought the laptop back to life with the aid of this battery and Linux Mint. Depending on the use, the battery gives 2-3 hours of backup time (2 hours with a virtual machine running), and recharges from 5% to 100% in about 45 minutes (I use the genuine Dell charger that came with the laptop). It's a little bit bulky and the laptop doesn't sit flat on the desk due to the additional battery cells, but to me it's a pro as it allows better cooling of the CPU. I've been using the battery for three months now, and I'm still happy with its performance. The genuine Dell battery costs a fortune, and I don't expect it to beat the performance of the DTK battery. The laptop recognized the battery both on Windows and Linux without any problem. I'm happy with the purchase and I recommend it.

Have had this battery for about 2 months now and it's great for the price! I will update this review if needed after using it for more. Pros: -I get about 4+ hours in a single charge while using a browser, constantly streaming youtube on active wifi, while also running stuff like Word, Excel. -Great price for the capacity! I went to buy a battery locally and it would have costed me double for half the capacity. -Seller was very understanding and even made me a $6 discount after I told them that the capacity was lower than advertised. Cons: -Battery capacity is not actually 7800mah, it's around 5,550 mAh on average, but it changes constantly going up higher and lower. Still lasts a good time. -Takes quite a bit to charge, but I guess it is to be expected since it is a higher capacity than my last one; not a huge problem.

This battery did ok in the Dewalt chainsaw I bought it for, as a back-up battery. But it doesn't have a run time near as long as the Dewalt battery does.

La batteria per adesso funziona perfettamente

Compré un ordenador portátil usado que funciona perfectamente pero la bateria apenas duraba unos minutos. Con esta nueva batería el ordenador funciona correctamente y puedo estar 3-4 horas utilizando el ordenador sin problemas. No me ha dado ningún error ni problema desde que la puse.

Ich war zunächst etwas unsicher über die Bewertungen dieses Akkupacks. Habe es dennoch bestellt. Es wurde nach zwei Tagen geliefert! WOW! Alter Akku raus, neuer rein. Passt hervoragend. Restladezustand betrug noch 36%. Wurde vom Laptop erkannt. Ich habe dieses Akkupack nun nach Anleitung dreimal bis auf 7% herruntergefahren, und wieder auf 100% aufgeladen. Kann damit jetzt ganz locker 2,5 Std. ohne Netzteil arbeiten. Ich hoffe, dass es wieder lange Zeit so bleibt....
