The Dragonslayer: A Graphic Novel (BONE #4)

I just can’t put into words how much I truly love this series and this book is so so awesome. Full of laughs, great story telling, great lore and just amazing artwork. If you haven’t read the series, than I urge you to do so right away

It's been an enjoyable series so far, but this volume really ups the ante on the stakes. There is great character growth, and we learn so much more about the history of the valley. Jess Smith really created a whole world here, and I love it.

I can't tell you how many people I have recommended Bone to. Every time I am in a comic book store and see a mother and a youngster looking for something to break into in the comic scene. The first thing that comes to mind is Bone. It's a great all ages book, it's well written and your kids will love it. With all the "adult" stuff out there... you really need to be cautious what your children are reading. Bone is quality and safe. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

These are one of the best comic books. My son is 8 and he loves these. I got him some for his birthday and he finished one book in 2 days. The stories are interesting and illustrations are great.

My friend sent me her copies of this series, but she was missing the 4th. I couldn't beat the price and the condition is near perfect. It's a wonderful series and I'm enjoying it for the second time now!

This series has been my childhood mystery for years. I played the 1 game they made but It was only a quarter of the story. My library never had these books and now I can finally read them. This is a great series and the book came in amazing quality. I was a bit nervous at first because of the warning the seller says about it might having markings and what not. Take the risk and if it's not as advertised just return it :) it just depends how much that book has been read.

Having already read the series, I crossed my fingers and picked up Volume 1 in a completely selfish and utterly transparent attempt to get my niece to read comic books. It worked, I should never have doubted Jeff Smith and the Bone family. She's just finished Volume 4 after re-reading Volume 3 because her Uncle was "really, really late in getting me the new book". You honestly don't need my review because you're looking at Volume 4, so you made it this far what did you think was going to change?

I am delighted to have found a copy of this book in such good condition and such a reasonable price! Had no idea what to expect with shipping as well, so was greatly surprised how quickly it arrived. Great book, great condition - a bargain!

Reason for Reading: next in the series. This volume was fabulous! Maybe part of my sheer enjoyment was due to the little break I took between books 1-3 and this one. (I'm trying not to rush through them "too" fast) But while the break may have refreshed my zeal for these characters, this was still a top-notch story. Things turn quite dark in this volume as we finally meet the bad guy and see him surrounded by his minions. He wears a costume that hides his actual identity and it makes me wonder whether if and when his hood is lifted we might see a familiar face in the end. Great story with some multiple plot lines going on; first and foremost the Lord of the Locusts is gathering the rat creatures to help him take over the valley, Thorn learns her true identity and fights a battle with King Dok, and as usual Phoney Bone is up to his usual scams this time scaring the villagers into believing that they are under eminent attack by dragons and he, a true dragonslayer, is the only one who can help them. The red dragon makes his usual appearance and steals the scene. I love that guy. I kind of imagine him being voiced by Kelsey Grammer if there were an animated version.

A must have for reluctant readers. If these books didnt exist my granddaughter would never have opened a book!
