Great for Training Safely
These dummy rounds are perfect for safe and realistic practice. They look and feel like the real thing but are totally inert, so I can run reloads and malfunction drills with confidence. The bright orange insert makes them easy to spot, and the quality feels solid. Exactly what I needed for training without any risk.

Perfect instructional aid or use for dry firing drills!
Great product! Quality construction! I am an NRA Firearms Instructor and use snap caps in my classes for safety. When teaching a large group using different firearms, it saves me a ton of time to have snap caps in different colors, according to their caliber. The Ultimate Arms Gear snap caps are made of metal with colored plastic bullets. (not weak aluminum) These snap caps can stand up to the abuse of teaching how to clear jams. (such as stove pipe jams ) Highly recommended!!!

Needed and Required Item for Anyone who uses or works on firearms.
Fit and function as a factory round without the worry of unintentional discharge when working on pistol. Safety Device not to be over looked by anyone using firearms. Whether training or repairing these are necessary safety item.

Safety first with these dummy rounds
If you are teaching someone handgun safety these are a must. I am a certified license to carry instructor and always want to ensure new students are safe before giving them live rounds.

Good training round, but would've been BETTER had they made it a true snap cap
These dummy rounds are good for practicing magazine loading, chambering and/or round cycling without any potential danger of accidental discharges. They also work for practicing gun clearing (tap-rack-shoot, etc.) by acting as a random defective cartridge during live fire exercises. But for continual dry fire exercises they are useless; these are not snap caps since they have not firing pin cushioning placed in the primer location. Instead the orange plastic you can just see in the product image is recessed in from the face of the rim base and into the case to avoid any contact with the firing pin. Any potential purchaser and user with a pistol that is susceptible to damage from dry fire (guns with breech block roll pins, etc.) needs to be aware that these dummy rounds do not protect your pistol's slide from any damage that may occur with repeated dry firing.
