HMS Authentic Dragonfly Katana Sword - Hand Forged 1080 Carbon Steel Full Tang Blade, Long Real Functional Japanese Sword for Collectors & Practice

I am practicing katana technique in sword academy and have collection of katanas in different price ranges from $200 to $600 per piece. This sword was one of the first I bought many years ago. When I joined sword academy I was in need for an unsharpened "practice sword" so instead of spending another $200 for a quality dull "practice sword" I grinded blade of this sword to make it dull. From that time almost for the whole year I was using this sword as my "practice sword" - it has good balance, nice Bo-Hi and it is looking good with dragonfly decoration. For cutting purpose I would recommend heat (clay) treated T-10 steel blade katana sword, you can get it here on amazon for $200 if you know what you are looking for.

Got the sword, watched a bunch of YouTube videos to compare quality in its price range. This sword, for the price is pretty nice, no play in the fixtures, came well packed, beautiful aged bronze fittings and decent fake hammon. The blade could be about 20% sharper before I was completely happy but for the price I will have saved enough to pay for a professional polish and sharpening. In the future I'm going to look for an authentic folded steel blade and use these fittings and get a different scabbard, which is nice looking but not authentic. The balance and overall feel is great. Looking for a cool bedside katana with 1080 steel and a sharp enough edge? This is a solid choice.

Looks great feels nice and light the blade came with 2 dings in it ray skin where the hole is chips off and the blade won’t come apart to see the tang. Other then that this katana could be worth $850.00 easy.

This is my second sword from this company. Their workmanship is better than my other swords. The fittings are solid and the sword is better balanced than other swords I had in this same price range. The sword was well packaged for shipping and arrived intact and undamaged. I definitely recommend this sword for the price that you are paying. I am very satisfied.
