The simple, soothing breathing techniques are extremely helpful and beneficial. It also has helped with sleeping problems. I often listen to it on my ipod and do the techniques as I'm falling asleep, too. Highly recommend-worth a try and worth the money. It should be titled Panic Attacks and Anxiety, though. It also has several techniques on it in case one is better than another for you such as affirmations, guided imagery, etc. and the music is very nice. All of them work for me. I have tried yoga, tai chi, and acupuncture as well but the great thing about this is you can practice the techniques anywhere, anyplace, any time you feel panic or anxiety without fuss or being obvious. In some cases you may have to slip away to a private place for a few minutes, but it requires little effort. Review: Great product! Actually relieves pressure and tension in my chest too! - I'm very impressed with this product. I believe it makes one not only calmer, but also helps your breathing to be smoother. There are hypnotic suggestions for you to be aware of any tension in your body and to relieve that pressure naturally. It sure does work. Track 4 seems to help me instantly. I notice that my body slowly removes excess gas that over-the-counter medicine can't relieve. Eventually, I start to gradually burp, and I would say within 12 to 20 hours the entire blockage that has contributed to my anxiety is gone. Obviously, over time the problem can come back, but I just listen to the product again to help fix it again.

An Amazing Journey
After learning about her CD from Priscilla Warner's book "Learning To Breathe" I feel I have really gained a lot for listening to this CD everyday. Bella's voice is calming, relaxed and takes you on several journey's through the body. I have learned how to breathe in a much more calming way that has helped me through the day when anxiety or panic starts to come on. This CD is broken up into several meditations so you can choose to listen to one or all depending on what you want. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn how to take control of their anxiety/panic. This is a CD that in addition to other forms of help is starting to change my life.

Frustrating
I bought this product to use while i was going to sleep. I bought two different portable CD players, and the CD would not play on either one, but it would play in the car. Unfortunately it it not recommended that you listen to them while driving. The content of the CD is great, and very helpful.

Panic Attack CD
Belleruth Naparstek has a nice pleasant voice. The CD is helpful and relaxing and will help you relax and destress , I suggest its worth a try to beat out that stressed out feeling every one gets now and then.

Soothing
Voice is kind of deep, almost like a man's voice, but it is a woman's voice. Her vouce didn't seem very soothing at first, took awhile to get used to. Now her voice is very calming and relaxing. Would prefer if the description at the beginning was in paper describing the cd and not have to listen to the description everytime. Other than that it's great and has worked wonders for me and my husband. We purchased 2 different cds by this same person.

A Big Help
I bought this for my husband to help him with panic and anxiety attacks and it has helped him greatly. He finds the affirmations especially helpful, particularly when he's at work or in the car and not able to close his eyes and meditate along with the guided imagery track. Often he turns on this CD at bedtime as we go to sleep and we've both found it helps us sleep better all night. Because we liked this CD so much we've bought several others (Healthful Sleep, Healthy Pregnancy/Childbirth) and enjoy those just as much. We highly recommend Belleruth meditations!

I would recommend this program
On the advice of a friend who is a medical social worker, I tried and found effective the pre-surgery program in this series. Based on that success, I decided to listen to this cd to deal with my claustrophobia during a cervical spine MRI. I'm not a very nervous person, but I do suffer from extreme claustrophobia to the point where for example being on a half empty bus is intolerable. I began listening to this program only one week before the procedure, each time with my eyes covered, and honestly never made it through to the end without falling asleep When the day came, the tech played the cd during the procedure, I covered my eyes, and I had absolutely no problem whatsoever. I didn't even have anxiety beforehand. So yes, I would recommend this program. I can't believe I was in a tube for 20 minutes without suffering a panic attack. Amazing. I mean, what do you have to lose?
