Good Grips Jar Opener with Non-Slip Base Pad, Handheld Manual Opener

Best grater ever. Easy to wash and drying. I mostly use on blocks of hard cheese, like parmasean cheese. I grate what I need and put rest of the block in a zip lock bag and put in the refrigerator. Last a long time and taste much better than store bought grated cheese.

Best jar opener I have ever found and works for small containers like RX bottles as well as larger Mayo jars. Great when your hands need a little help or a sadist was the last to close something.

Great product — excellent for people with hand arthritis. A slightly longer handle would make it perfect.

Lately just about everything I try to open has become impossible! 🤷🏽‍♀️ I was so surprised that this thing ACTUALLY WORKS! It's so nice not to have to fight with everything for 5 minutes and I haven't found anything yet that it didn't open. It's very durable and easy to use. Love it!

If I'm honest with myself I'm probably somewhat of an oxo fanboy, I love the reliability of a lot of their kitchen equipment and have purchased, pans, scoops, pastry brushes and endless other oxo gadgets for my home and kitchen. Previously these have all been really reliable, do a great job and are worth the price. This however, this I can only hope is some 3rd party white labelled device because it's essentially useless. 1 - The serrated teeth will chew your can lids. I own a number of mason jars and pickle veg, my girlfriend struggles opening the jars when they're fridge cold so I thought I'd get her something to assist. I used this once and had to throw away the jar lid I used it on as it chewed up the metal and I cut my hand putting the lid back on. Do not use this on anything you want to keep and be very careful about sharp metal shavings from the jar lids after opening. 2 - This barely works. The action of putting the jar into the device doesn't feel secure and the device slips off constantly. Even when you have it lined up it doesn't make the job any easier and struggles with lids that I myself can open by hand. This barely works on loose lids and doesn't solve the problem as advertised. 3 - It's a clunky gadget which I could get over the size/space it occupies if it at least did a good job. It does not, this doesn't work and takes up copious space in a kitchen drawer. 4 - It's nice they include a non slip pad for the jar but it would be nicer if it was big enough to actually fit over the jar lid because then at least the missus could use it to grip the lid and open it without the fanged failure that is the opener. Overall I don't foresee this helping the people who need it and it makes opening a jar harder for me than before, I really don't understand why they went with metal serrated teeth that chew up your jar lids instead of rubber or something else working with friction and I'd say this one should go back to the drawing board. I'll be requesting a refund and strongly advise against purchasing this.

I purchased this for my parent who has carpal tunnel, hoping it would make opening jars easier on their hands. The quality seemed good, the material felt sturdy and well made. However, we couldn't figure out how to get it to work properly. We tried a few different approaches but ended up returning it. Might work better for others, but it just wasn't intuitive enough for what we needed.

What a find. It really works! i have severe arthritis in my hands and opening jars is always a problem. This opener is so much better than anything I've found in the past. Forget plastic openers, forget rubber pads, this is absolutely the best.
