I'm a HNC Beauty Student, and this book is easily one of the best I've added to my current collection of books to help get me through what is quickly becoming an extremely intense and heavy workload. I've started learning to use electrical facial and body treatment machines and electrical epilation this year, and without this book I would not have made it through the numerous reports. I find the facial and body machines incredibly daunting, and this book has been a gold mine of information in comparison to the rather lacking class notes. I would recommend this book for any beauty student learning to use this equipment - it really goes into detail about how currents work, their measurements, contra-indications for each of the machines, and has very in-depth explanations on how they should be used and their effects. It includes High Frequency Facial machines (direct and indirect), Iontophoresis, Gyratory massage, faradic and galvanic body treatments, Infra-red heat lamps, sunbed, paraffin wax, and Vacuum Suction as a start. Without this book I would never have managed to complete my written work for my Body and Facial Electrical classes - it is an absolute gem, and I know ill be using it even more in the future. If you have a limited amount of money to spend on course material, I would highly recommend investing some of it in this book - it more than pays for itself, and is absolutely worth the money.

This book is great for dipping in and out of when looking up things. Its very clear and easy to follow. I used it during my hnc last year and it is also coming in handy for my hnd this year. I would recomend anyone studyint this level to get a copy of this book as it will not only be useful while studying but also when out in industry as a reference tool I have to pay for my fees and was wondering if you would be able to tell me how I go about paying for them on a monthly basis as I dont want to have to pay it all in one lump sum. Hnd beauty therapy student.

This is honestly a must have for anyone studying electrotherapy. It covers micro current, EMS, vacuum suction, galvanic and high frequency...amongst other topics. It delves in to the science, h&s and principles of electrotherapy too. Brilliant book
