As mentioned above, this is not, definitely not made of granite, but instead a mixture of various metals along with plastique that has been fashioned into a hollow pan that I have used extensively for heating up raw meat and other food products almost daily for months. It has held up better than many other more expensive brands, and I must agree with the testers who named this the best frying pans on the market at this price. The quality is great. Nothing more to say except that I really appreciate the edges that keep my eggs from floating away, and the handle that makes the handling safe and easy.

Excellent pan: non-stick and easy to clean; lightweight; oven ready. Have owned pan for over a year and many uses. Have not been disappointed once. Small pan not quite as non-stick. Great for cooking 2 eggs or browning almonds. Reasonably priced and a good value.

I like the pan and the price but I watched a video so I knew not to use metal utensils in it and only hand-wash it and it should last.

My husband is the cook in the house and he wanted a couple of non stick frying pans in addition to the stainless steel set we have. These are perfect! Light weight but feels substantial. Big difference from eggs that stuck on the stainless set to never sticking now! Cleaning is easy too.

2nd update. I reseasoned the pan and it is again a nonstick pan, even for eggs. Update after 3 months. The small pan I bought for morning eggs is no longer non stick. I have never used any metal utensils and have hand washed and hung to keep the surface from getting scratched at all. Very disappointed. So far, I find this to be non stick and easy cleanup. The advertisement claims you can use metal utensils on the pan, but I don't want to risk ruining my pan. Their ads also show someone blowing an egg out of a pan, which would defy the laws of physics. Knowing they would advertise thusly, I kept my expectations low. Time will prove their durability. I will keep them protected, and am enjoying using them now.

Got these for my son's new kitchen and he loves them. The bonus small size pan was great too. The size of the big one just right for whatever you need to cook. I love my copper pans, but after reading reviews decided on the granitestone for him. I will purchase for myself as well after he has told me good things about the pans.

For one thing, you have to use cooking spray on the small pan. I tried frying an egg in it and the egg stuck terribly. The larger pan is fine for browning ground beef and cooking other things without cooking spray. But as far as food sliding out onto a plate...forget that.

We've ordered these many times over the years. So yes, they do wear down and perhaps a bit faster than they ought to, but we like them so much and the price to us is very low that it's worth it. The tiny egg pan is a lot more convenient than we thought it would be.
