It'd be great in a car. It was great for my hike. And I would like to think it would be great in a bug out bag, if that floats your boat. It's pretty compact, about as much as it can be for being loaded with everything, but it slid under my seat just fine, it crammed into my bag fine. As long as you don't plan on using this for anything more than the occasional bump, bruise, scratch, cut, or sucking chest wound, you should be fine. Overall: 10/10 would buy again.
