So.... lately I've been trying to avoid clay cat litter.... they're more prone to causing cats to inhale dust, and they're not as healthy as corn or pine fiber cat litters. But, the issue with most natural litters is that they start to smell more like urine, at a much quicker pace. I have an automatic litter box that has a removable tray in the back. It has worked wonders for 2 years with no issues. But, regular clumping clay litter sticks to the bottom VERY BADLY. So I switched to lightweight. This is the only lightweight litter I use for my two cats (IF I can't use natural. I've found corn fiber litter is even MORE lightweight than this is, so they track it a lot more.... ugh). That being said, this lightweight cat litter DOES track more than the regular tidy cats, but that goes for any lightweight litter. Plus, this litter doesn't start to have any poor odors unless I don't change out the bag in the waste tray for 4-5 days. Most litters it's within the first 1-2 days.

We had four but now three cats. The cats love this product. It does scatter a lot but as long as we keep it swept up they don’t use it out of box. Have used other a couple times and cats let us know this isn’t their preferred litter. So try to keep extra box on hand.

Does good for a cat that has a strong smelling urine. Could not find one in stores that worked.

Too dusty for me. Could deal with that but with the liquid it either crumbles if you clean too soon or turns to cement at the bottom of the box. Almost impossible to get out even with vigorous scraping.

I literally have this on autoship. Blocks smell, inexpensive, clumps super well! No dust, cats seem to like it.

This litter is not only lightweight, but it clumps better than anything I have used so far. It doesn't stick to the sides of the litter box like most clumping litter either. The clumps are usually compacted enough to hold together during cleaning. I can get them to the garbage bag before they start breaking apart. I have two cats and it has never been so easy to clean the litter boxes. I highly recommend for multiple cat households.

Follow up addition. I think this is a different batch or the Tidy Cat company is using bad ingredients. This is terrible. Every single time my cat uses the litter box, small clumps are tracked around and I need to vacuum. I am throwing this away today and buying another brand. I tried this exact stuff before and it was great. I don't know what happened to it. But be careful. Especially if you have small children. This litter, due to it being "light weight" type, is problematic. It is too light. My cat is attentive to her litter box and bury's her business nicely. But very often when she leaves the litter box her paws carry tiny clumps of litter out of the box. and then I need to vacuum my entire home. Because she unknowingly carries these clumps everywhere. I also worry that when she grooms her paws, she ingests too much of the litter. Clay based litter gets in the stomach and becomes a sticky mess which adds to naturally occurring hairball build up. I won't use this light weight litter again. Just to save money on shipping. Depending on where your litter boxes are placed, you should consider my review when buying litter.
