Grasshopper Limited Drivers Backrest for Harley Davidson Softail or Fatboy 07-17 STUDDED Quick Release Complete System AMERICAN MADE Stock Seats Only

I have a 2007 Heritage Softail Classic with the stock seats. I am 6'1", 225 lbs. I was worried that this would push me a little too far forward but I took a chance and purchased it. I installed it yesterday and took my first ride with it today (just around town). I was pleasantly surprised. It was comfortable and did not push me too far forward. There is a little flex in it when I lean back. It's not uncomfortable when I lean back into it. It is a little loose when not in the saddle but not when I'm on the bike. I especially like that I can remove it just by pulling it forward for when my wife rides with me (she is my backrest on those rides). I didn't find it necessary to wrap with electrical tape like other reviews mentioned. Now I just need to remember not to try to throw my leg over it like I used to. I have to lift my leg and push it over my seat.

I love it. Comfortable and fit like a glove. Almost like it was straight from Harley Davidson. Customer service has been jam up. I had an issue with the paint on the bracket. They replied very quickly and resolved it by sending a new bracket out. They did it while not making me feel like I was less of a person or customer. He went out of his way to make sure I had the correct backrest for my motorcycle. He even made sure of the style of seat I had to get me the most comfortable option. The customer service was so good I recommended it to a friend of mine whom also was looking for one. He already purchased and is installing his today. Great customer service.

I like everything about this but it's floppy loose with no rider. I put tape on it which helps but still moves around with no rider. If not for that it would definitely be a 5 star.

If you like to rode long distance but don't wanna drop for or five hundred on a new seat with backrest this is an excellent option. I really like how the seat on my 17 heritage feels. It's plenty comfortable, and part of why I bought the bike to begin with. Harley, unfortunately, does not make a backrest for stock seat. For the price this works great. I will now take my Hertiage out all day. Install is ridiculously easy and takes all or 2 mins. I also like that it can be used with just the solo seat. Mybonly real complaint is that the bracket attached to the bike and the post from the backrest fit a little loose. Other than that great product, and for the price, a must have for all day comfort.

Gives good support and mounts easily. Could be a tad stiffer but that’s just my opinion. I’d buy it again.
