What a cool unit. First off the good about it. It’s def nice and sturdy. Good materials used in the construction. It was easy to use. It’s not that complex to understand how it works lol. The seals were good and it performed like it should totally. The only thing I have to say is that when you use it. Def push very slowly on it. The faster you go, the less time the water has to go through the coffee pod. So it results in a weaker coffee. I bought the darker pods and go slowly. As you use it more, you get used to it. We used it already when there was a power outage and our Kruig powers unit was no good. Just boiled up water on the little butane burner and we were enjoying coffee thanks to this item. I thought the price was very reasonable as well. It’s larger than I thought. But because the top and bottom comes apart. It’s easy to dismantle and store in my camping gear.

I was very surprised and pleased when I saw it. It's larger than I imagined but it's a perfect size I was afraid it was going to be tiny and fragile but it's very solid and well built. I especially like that I can keep 3 cups stored in the plunger ready to use. It's clean and easy to use, no mess. I recommend this product. Update: after two weeks of use it started to leak. The attached photos show where the leak is at by The Grommet at the base of the unit. Someone mentioned difficulty pressing the plunger down because of their weakness. If you wet the base of the plunger it'll slide really easy when pressing the on the plunger.

I had purchased multiple other automatic drip/ K cup coffee makers and they all worked for a while, but eventually they all failed for one reason or the other. This unit since it is manual and has really no moving parts or electrical component will never fail. It brews coffee just like all of the others. I have an electric kettle to make my hot water, install the k cup and pour in the water. Couple things I did learn, don't push too hard as you can blow a hole through the internal filter in the k cup and then you have grounds in your coffee. Second things is to not pull the top plunger back while you are brewing, this also can draw the coffee grounds back into the water tube and foul the water in the tube. It really doesn't cause a problem with the coffee or any taste issues. It has worked very well. Cleanup is easy and fast.

We got this to try when Boondocking (dry camping) in our RV. It works great. We use this when we don't have electrical hookup and we just heat up the water on the propane stove, select our coffee or hot chocolate and make a great hot cup of Joe.

Pusher wears out after a while and starts to leak But I would purchase again

I am very pleased with this product. We purchased this coffee maker to use in our Class B Motorhome when we are camping without electrical hookups. Our K-Cup electric coffee maker draws a whopping 1,000 watts per hour! Making 4 cups of coffee uses about 200 watts of power which is okay if we are hooked up to shore power but when we are without electricity, I like to save the batteries. So, the Gourmia is great for making coffee with a K-Cup without electricity. It is light in weight and can accommodate several cup sizes. We are still experimenting with water volume and temperature but so far, it has been very easy to use. I heat the water with propane. No mess! No watts! We recycle the used K-Cups.

Love this manual coffee brewer! I like using the K-cups, but a brewing machine is not always available in my travels. This manual brewer is great for traveling, and will be using it at the office as well. I have used it several times this week, fits my needs perfectly! The only drawback is, I order the green one (to fit my kitchen decor too!) but received the orange one instead. Doesn't affect my usage of course, but I LOVE GREEN! :)

I love this press for camping or if our power goes out. I don’t have to go outside to start the generator to make coffee ;) Jen P
