Get inspired by 60 hand-lettered alphabets and the artists who draw them! This beautiful follow-up to 100 Days of Lettering helps you master the techniques so you can use them in your own designs. In his latest hand-lettering guide, designer and illustrator Jay Roeder has compiled a vibrant collection of alphabets that will have you racing for your pens, markers, and sketchbooks. He explains everything you need to know to create each set of letters, from the required pen strokes to fun embellishments. The alphabets are divided by typographical approach for easy navigation. Whether you're looking for an elegant script, a whimsical collection of doodle-inspired letters, or a striking set of dimensional letters, you'll find something that perfectly suits your personal style and projects. Each section includes a beautiful gallery showcasing work by the author and other artists. Review: Lettering Alphabets & Artwork - Very nice, good quality book. I chose this one over the others because it actually said how many different alphabets there were in the description. You would think that would be important information but none of the others gave that information. Happy with my choice. I recommend this book. Review: Perfect for Digital Hand Lettering Beginners - This book is geared towards those who like to digitize their work, giving a quick run down on vocabulary and stages, followed by several “fonts” the author styled. The best part is that it breaks down each style and also provides examples and exercises along the way. Recommended if you want to expand your sense of style for hand lettering.

Easy to use!
I love this book - it's not a "workbook" like almost all the others that I've looked at. I don't do lettering to perfect it, rather just to spice up something I'm working on. I'm able to use the book as a tool for that - it shows the general "how to" for the style. And it includes NUMBERS for some of the fonts, something I greatly appreciate! I borrowed this from the library so much I decided to get my own copy. :)

Overall a good source for new fonts, but many are the same
I got this book because I just needed a lot more fonts to try out and didn't want to have to keep looking them up online. I like how it's laid out and there are some good tips on how to form the letters. What I really didn't want was education--just the fonts. This book provides that! However, a LOT of the fonts chosen are like... exactly the same. So in that way it was a little disappointing and not as varied and diverse as I had wanted in terms of style and tone. Lots of silly looking ones, not a lot of heavy or serious fonts. Also, the examples of "word art" provided between the sections are... interesting. The author features a lot of his own work, which is questionable in design. Words broken up in ways that don't make sense, violates a lot of pretty basic design rules. So I haven't really used or looked at the examples at all.

Poor image quality in kindle version
This book is great, but in the Kindle version the image quality is poor. This is an image heavy book, and they look fuzzy, slightly pixelated, on my first generation iPad Air. Until this issue is addressed I do not recommend purchasing the kindle version.

Fantastic resource
I love the systematic approach to create letterforms. I got the kindle version so I can take screenshots of various alphabets, place them in Procreate app, and practice that way. As another reviewer mentioned, the image quality could be a bit crisper, but for my purposes, it’s fine.

New book, looks used
The book itself is exactly what I wanted. The copy I received looks tattered. The front two corners are bent over, showing the white underneath. The top back corner is bent and multiple pages rolled up. It does not look bent from shipping, it looks like it's been handled a lot.

Very inspirational
I already have the other book of Jay Roeder and it's one of my favorite lettering books, so I was very excited about this one and it didn't disappoint me. This book is very inspirational. It's full great examples of alphabets and beautiful lettering pieces. It also has a great paper quality and it's beautifully designed. I highly recommend it.

Increible
