MEGA Masters of the Universe Toy Building Set, MOTU Castle Grayskull with 3508 Pieces, 6 Micro Action Figures and Accessories, for Collectors, GGJ67

Wow, I didn't expect this set to be so fantastic! Having purchased it a few months ago, I didn't have the time to build it, but thanks to lock-down, this was a great set to pass the time with. The set comes in an amazingly well thought out box, with lovely art work on the front and 4 smaller boxes inside, each with nice nostalgic images of the characters from the 80s. The mammoth sized manual is also inside. The manual is quite easy to follow, however you do have to pay attention at times, particularly if you're building this in the evening under artificial light. The steps are well illustrated for the most part and well laid out. Building the towers and turrets was fun and a little challenging at times, especially with the smaller pieces. If you don't like some things on how Mega Construx instructs you to build it, you can add your own minor alterations. I'm not a fan of the 5 teeth in the middle of the skull so just had four with a small square Construx piece in the middle, which I think looks better. The set took me about 5-6 days to build and was interesting, there are a lot of extra pieces which can come in handy should you lose any pieces or wish to add a few extra bricks and pieces surrounding the castle. The set itself, once built, is a site to be behold, it really is stunning. The figures included - He-Man, The Goddess, Sorceress, Man-At-Arms, Skeletor, Beastman are all great and are nicely designed and assembled. These figures are slight variations from previous single releases. I particularly like Skeletor, The Goddess and the red variant of Beastman. The castle displays very well with other MOTU MC figures and also the Battle Bones set (which was an exclusive release). There is also a lot of play value in this set, it honestly is so much fun, and reminds me of my vintage Castle Grayskull from when I was a child. I recommend this set highly to any Mega Construx or Lego fan and also fans of He-Man/Masters of the Universe.

Being a Lego fanatic I thought I’d buy it as I liked the minifigures and have to say love it. It’s a fairly difficult build but have to say impressive and much sturdier than Lego which can be prone to fall to pieces. The bricks fit as good as Lego and only if you construct it wrong does it appear that they don’t fit but it’s great and reminds me of the castle I had as a child it took me all twixtmas to build it but contributed to the best Christmas ever thank you mega construx and we want more please

people need to stop being Lego snobs, this Mega is full licenced and the has far better types of bricks for different build ideas that lego haven't even thought of, honestly i build both Lego and Mega and lego have alot of catching up to do against this company and this build and castle grayskull and the rest of the He-Man sets. the only negative i will say and have a out Mega is the bricks are sharper and a little uncomfortable to put together due to the bricks being so tight compared to Lego, but only the massive plus side to that, you build is far far stronger and you have the confidence that its not got to fall apart easily if knocked of moved 👍👍👍

Honestly Mattel are killing it with these Mega Construx Action figure minis. Definitely recommend if you're a fellow Masters of the Universe Collector.

I played with Lego as a child, was obsessed in fact. So, as an adult when lock-down happened I decided to get this. It is superb! Hundreds of pieces, wonderful design, and unique shapes make this a real treat. Everything needed to bring the mighty Castle Greyskull to life. Of all the range available on Amazon, I've built them all, and this one is the crowning glory. It is well worth the ££. Now, enjoy, relax and get ready for Skeletor!

Wow, what a construction. Enjoyed every minute of it. It’s a fantastically detailed build. It expands on the original 80s play set design too with an additional level and an enclosed dungeon area. It was amazing for a nearly 40 year old original Masters fan to build, the box is also full of fan service via the artwork on the internal packaging. Now I just have to deal with my kids playing with it and trust them not to destroy it, it is quite sturdy though. The Included figures need a mention, they are extremely well articulated and an excellent scale. Brilliant product!

A superb build , bursting with detail and quality. This truly is a work of art! I am a MOTU collector so do have a preference for this but this brought back those memories of being a child and opening my original Castle greyskull. The instructions are clear and all the releveant bricks are clearly put into labelled bags and boxes . The box art is superb throughout this item and is truly original just like the original MOTU toy line. Well done Mega Construx a truly beautiful toy.

Dedem çatı arasında tahtadan He-man kılıcı yapardı, (iki tahtayı birbirine çakardı) "Gölgelerin gücü adına, güç bende artık" diye sokakta koştururdum. Sonra kılıcı ya kırar ya kaybederdim. Dedem yine yapardı. Çocukken çok sevdiğim bir diğer şey ise Babamın yurt dışına gidip gelen Dayıma getirttiği Legolarla oynamaktı. Belki de bu yüzden çocuklarıma en çok aldığım oyuncak Lego ve türevleri oldu. He-man serisine ait bir Legonun olacağını ise hiç düşünmemiştim. Amazonun fırsatlar kısmına bakarken karşıma çıkınca dayanamayıp aldım. Öncelikle ürünü fırsat yakalayıp 1700tl civarına aldığımı belirtmeliyim, şu anda ise fiyatı 3500tl bandında ama bu fiyata hatta fazlasına da değen muhteşem bir ürün. 3500 parçadan oluşuyor. Kocaman bir kutudan içinde parçaları barındıran 4 kutu daha çıkıyor. Kutuların kalitesi bile şaşırtıcı derecede iyi. Bunu Lego ürünlerinde göremiyoruz. Bu fiyata zaten böyle bir ürün de göremiyoruz. Parçaların malzeme kalitesi kendi başlarına oldukça iyi. Manual ve parçaları birbirine takabilmek için harcadığınız efor bakımından ise Lego kadar iyi olmasa da yakın seviyede. Zaten Mega Bloks/ Construx ya da hangi isim altındaysa bu markanın Destiny, Halo, Call Of Duty, Ninja Turtles vs. gibi çeşitli ürünlerini yıllardır alıyoruz ve hiç pişman olmadık. İçinden He-man, İskeletor, Sorceress, Beast-man, Man-at-Arms ve The Goddess figürleri çıkıyor. Mega Bloks'un figürleri Lego'ya göre daha gerçekçi ve detaylıdır ama ben Lego figürlerini her zaman daha çok sevmişimdir. Bu setten çıkan figürler de gerçekçi, çok detaylı ve güzeller. Yanlarında He-man'in kılıcı (Dedemin yaptığı gibi değil maalesef) ve İskeletor'un asası yanı sıra çok sayıda kılıç, silah, asa, kalkan vs. ile geliyorlar. Kale dev gibi, çok detaylı ve ortadan iki yana doğru açılarak iç kısmını da kullanmanıza izin veriyor. I am 39, and in the last decade started collecting macabre and skeleton themed toys, rediscovering the joy of Legos when sets that finally ventured into my less conventional tastes were released. Finally my unrequited childhood toy wishes were fulfilled: not just a Lego castle, but a vampyre castle....which i merged with related sets, and surrounded with lego cemeteries. Alas, Lego genres don't always last long...but that's when offbrand brick systems step in. The more generic, the more likely that it will have noticeable defects in compatibility. That is where (frmrly Megablox) Mega Construx seems to be the second best behind Lego. Interesting genres that are sometimes too adult for Lego, or benefit from having more true-to-original figurine designs (as Lego will abstract any character into the main lego man basic form). Coincidentally, I had the Grayskull Castle playset as a child, but tossed it out one day in a an act of pubescent-adolescent refute of childhood...thinking I would need closet space more than cool relics of my youth. So when I saw Mega Construx Castle Grayskull, it was an ideal way to upgrade my missing nostalgia. I would have no use for the original castle, except for display, of which it would require a lot of shelf space. But as a brick system set, it becomes versatilely entertaining and a more fun, worthwhile & more compact shelf occupant. What impresses me the most is that it also being a worthy and faithful simulcrae tribute to the original: Every original detail I remember rendered in the plastic shape of the castle walls is expounded upon by MegaConstrux; instead of just a sticker on the floor as a picture of a dungeon, the dungeon is a cage with four walls and a barred door. The throne also activates a trapdoor as in the original. Windows are rendered as actual windows instead of impressions in a molded plastic wall. Roofs are brown with shingles instead of just more green molded plastic in a single piece. The drawbridge teeth remind me eerily of the original, but the details on the outside of the bridge are fleshed out into actual implements. There is an operational elevator akin to the original. The ladder, weapons racks and doohickeys that spin (god knows what for) look just like the ones i remember, only now in bricks. Plus the set adds on things the 80s grayskull never had: secret passages, rooms for magic, technology and such as fit in the MoTU universe. i bought for 160$ on sale, reduced price...and I have gotten several hours of play/entertainment out of it everyday for 2 weeks. I'm taking my time building it, not rushing or pushing myself past the point where I start getting burned out, which is perhaps the one thing that has 2 edges to the sword: Unlike Lego, which builds up tall walls usually with many panels, this Mega Construx set painstakingly builds everywall with individual bricks. Unprecedented detail.... but it can get a little slow monotonous when working on a tall tower wall... but like I said, I give it a rest when i get burned out, and then I have more to play with the next day when I am fresh again. One last great thing is that construx blox figures are usually interchangeable... so when I take the wings from a Halo bugger, and add them to Skeletor along with his goat skull for a head from his staff, I get a magical skeletor goat fairy. Or replace he-man's left arm with an alien arm, to get Division 9 He-man. Possibilities are endless with bricks. And Mega Construx are cross compatible with Legos....even if their fit may be a few microns less precise, they still hold well together, very strong usually. 4.5 stars altogether
