My CAG is โFeathered Upโ
Omg!!! Iโve only been through a handful of molts with my almost 4 year-old CAG. When sheโs going through a molt and growing in the new feathers, she tends to bite at her feet and started chewing on her โfeather shortsโ as I like to call them. I was desperate and grasping at straws with this purchase, but this supplement made a noticeable difference. With in a couple of weeks there was significant feather growth. Lots of new โfloofsโ. I truly had low expectations as I do with most supplements. Iโm a believer now. Our Avian Vet looked over the ingredients, etc. before I started giving it to her and agreed it was safe and worth a try. I mix it in and give it to her in baby food in a syringe. Thatโs the best way I have figured out how to get it down her. Itโs a dark orange in color so if your bird is also a freak who doesnโt like to try new colors of food, you can give it this way. Mine thinks its a treat when itโs in a syringe, which makes it easier to give her medicine when I need to. If youโre on the fence about this one, just buy it.

It works!
My brown headed parrot had a night fright which resulted in the loss of his flight feathers. Thankfully he was ok but his feathers were all banged up and I was scared they wouldnโt grow back. After looking up some vitamins for feather growth I ended up purchasing this product. He hated the taste of it!!!! I had to make him fresh popcorn and lightly dust it with the vitamin for him to eat it. After a month all his feathers are back and so incredibly vibrant. Iโm so happy with this product.

Donโt let the negative reviews from people who canโt get their bird to eat it put you off, this product definitely does work. But yes, itโs very much a trick to get your parrot to eat this and you do need to be fully aware of that when purchasing. I was prepared to be offering this supplement to my pickers for months, but after two weeks of different approaches I was pleasantly surprised to find both of my birds readily took the supplement on some scrambled eggs with a touch of coconut oil mixed in. Iโve been using this product for a month and in that month, one of my birds who had not grown a feather in a full year, now has (that I can see) 47 feathers coming in! YesโI counted. I couldnโt believe what I was seeing. That being said, while I fully recommend this product I need to make the disclaimer that Feathered Up was my last ditch addition to fix my pickers issues. I used it along with changing up his enclosure, adding additional lighting, switching foods and adding yet even more enrichment. I also had a veterinarian rule out any medical issues that could be contributing to his picking. Iโm unsure if this product would have given me the results Iโve gotten alone, but I am confident it has been an incredibly helpful addition to our pickers health plan.

Great quality product my birds need!
I paid big bux for this - and my bird is worth it! Unfortunately, he will not have anything to do with it! I tried mixing it in water and in Jell-O, sprinkling it on his food and treats - but he stays away completely! Not even my Sun Conure would accept it as edible. I am very disappointed because it tastes so bad to my birds. Live and learn.

Worked well for our grey
So far, I am really happy with this product. I was surprised to see that our grey actually dug down through her seeds just to eat the powder from the bottom of her dish, I really did not expect that. However, she does indeed seem to like the flavor of the powder and she is ingesting it easily. I am not sure if this is supposed to be flavored or not, but there seems to be something there she likes regardless. Her feathers are still improving, but I have also been using a topical spray because she really needed it also. I would recommend this product based on the other ratings and our bird's willingness to easily ingest it, if I notice anything to sway my opinion I will update.

Feathers more vibrant after a week!
Product is wonderful. This may not happen for all birds, but for my five, after two days of sprinkling this mixture in their warm food mix their feathers were more vibrant. We have a female orange wing amazon who has been having feather issues on her chest. She is of breeding age and we have used her nutrition with more calcium and vitamin d but it hasn't helped. After a full week of using this supplement in her food her feathers are starting to look better. After months of trying to give her foods for the extra nutrition this supplement did it within a week. The blue on her head is vibrant and her greens are brighter. She is more active acting as well. Our illigers macaw is molting right now and he has a extreme attitude during this time. Adding this supplement to his food has calmed him and has helped his molting go faster I believe. The others, a double yellow napped and a yellow napped and a orange winged Amazon are all molting better and their greens and yellows and oranges are more vibrant. The seller sent me a dosage suggestion sheet that has helped. I have given more scoops of the supplement to the two who need it according to the recommendation. The product comes with a small scoop. The supplement has a little mealy smell but the birds took to it right away. The seller informed me that it may take time but it did not with mine. I mixed it with a oatmeal, bulgar, millet, dried fruit gruel. I will continue to buy this as long as it's available.

Does what it says on the tin!
I think the before and after photos say it all. My big man came to me looking pretty rough - he was in a tough situation and had pretty extensive stress plucking. I had him on FeatherUp for about 4 weeks until he had a lot of pins, and heโs looked absolutely gorgeous since (and no more plucking!). About 12 weeks between the two photos.
