Overnight in the slow cooker... the perfect breakfast!
This is our second bucket of these oats, and honestly, I don't see us buying another brand anytime soon. They've become a staple in our pantry. We make them in our slow cooker overnight, and by morning they're perfectly tender, hearty, and incredibly delicious. It's such an easy, healthy breakfast to wake up to, and this method has become one of our favorite routines. Kids and parent approved! One thing I really appreciate is that these are true steel cut oats. Not quick cooking oats, which can surprisingly be difficult to find. The ingredient list couldn't be simpler: just oats. They have a fresh, clean smell with no off odors or anything unusual. For under $30, I think the value is outstanding. You get a huge quantity of high quality oats, and when you've finished them, the sturdy bucket is perfect for repurposing around the house, garage, or even for camping storage. If you're looking for delicious, traditional steel cut oats at a great price, I can't recommend these highly enough. They've earned a permanent spot in our kitchen.

Great healthy food, great value. Really easy to cook in an instant pot.
Great value. We make a one week batch at a time and keep in the fridge. It's SUPER easy to make steel cut oats if you have an instant pot (or similar). Press the porridge button (or Pressure cook button - set for 5 minutes) seal the cooker. Once it turns off, let the pressure bleed off by itself (don't open the pressure seal knob). Takes about a half hour then you can open the cooker. Makes perfect oats every time, no sticking to the bottom.

Better than rolled oats!
I don't I remember eating steel cut oats in my life. I thought I would try them since I'm trying to eat healthier. These are actually pretty amazing! I've never eaten a bowl of oats and thought I would like another bowl but after eating these I wanted more! The texture and taste are different from and rolled oats and for the better (more chewy and less mushy). I cook them in an instapot and added triple the water and cooked them on the pressure cooker setting for about 4 minutes and then let them sit for about 15 minutes. They came out perfect. I think the biggest problem with this bucket of oats is the lid. I didn't really mind but some people are going to have a really hard time getting it open. I took my knife and had to carve off the edge cuz the pull tab would not pull the edges off like it should. Other than having a lot of challenges with the lid. These were absolutely amazing and I will buy them again.

Oats 5, value 5, lid -1 (yes, negative one)
We've eaten oatmeal for many years, primarily steel cut in recent years. These oats have been delicious and fresh. Plentiful. Good value for the price. Husband loves them and makes a week's worth at once to bring to work. These oats come in a convenient, very sturdy bucket with handle. Or would be convenient if you could get the lid off and back on both easily and without destroying the lid. Had hoped to reuse the buckets in various ways; lidless, they have much more limited use. Hope the lids get redesigned very soon. as they take too much muscle and overall effort to open and since you basically have to rip the lid apart to open each container, the broken lids are currently a huge waste of plastic into the garbage/recycling stream.

Really tasty, worth it.
These taste amazing. They do have a little bit of an almost crunchy texture when fully cooked which I absolutely love. I had no big issues opening up the container but I used a box knife and then just put it into a glass container for easy use later on. I highly recommend.
