Works great
As others have commented... the light is very small. But I find it perfect for my use - in the almost total darkness of my bedroom the light is plenty bright enough to distinguish the switch from the one beside it. So now in the middle of the night I turn on the correct switch (for the closet) instead of accidentally hitting the other switch that turns on the lights for the entire room and wakes up both me and my wife. There's really no need for a brighter or larger light.

I can find it in the dark now
Wish the light was just a little bit brighter, but it is good enough when it is totally dark and I'm trying to locate the switch. Beats running my hand all over the wall to find it. This is in a bathroom where a brighter light would of been fine, but I would buy these again for a bedroom as the light is so dim it would be perfect in a sleeping room, so as not to bother your sleep. I have bought several Legrand products and they are always of good quality.

Replace old dimmers
Awesome. Got rid of my flickering LED.

It's VERY subtle - almost TOO subtle!
I purchased this lighted wall switch since I am looking for a 21st century solution for lighted Decora switches. Why is this so hard? Old switches are illuminated by an orange neon bulb with an average lifespan of about 10 years. My request is simple: A decora wall switch with an LED on it to light it up in the dark. Must look good (some options you find for lighted switches are VERY 1970), be reliable, and put out just enough light to be visible. No need for wi-fi, phone apps, internet connectivity, etc. I just want a lighted switch. Legrand is a good brand name that I recognize. Some other switches out there look cooler (there's a glass touch one that looks REALLY cool but has absymal quality ratings) but I don't want something that will fail early or worse, burn my house down. So I opted for this switch, recognizing that reviewers here commented that the light is TOO small/dim/subtle. My thoughts: The switch seems substantial to the feel, matches the regular decora switches and is very simple to install. If you take more than 10 minutes to install this switch then you are working too hard. :) As always, be safe and make sure the circuit is de-energized before installing. Connections consist of hot, load, and ground. No neutral wire is needed. The illumination: Other reviewers are right. The illumination is a TINY white LED, literally about the size of a pencil point. I have attached a picture to this review - and it makes the LED look bigger than it really is! It's visible in no-light situations as a white dot but doesn't light up the switch paddle area. I think that Legrand should have made the LED a little wider (think narrow rectangle, I know they make LEDs in this size) and they'd have a winner on their hands. Note that the pencil point LED *is* the LED and is not a hole allowing visibility to an LED in the back - so you can't drill out the trim to make the light bigger. Since the lighting effect is a little TOO subtle I'm giving this about a 5 out of 10. Overall I like the switch and I like the idea behind it, but I think I'll keep looking for a better solution for an illuminated Decora switch. That's a bummer because this one definitely has potential and I'd like a lot more lighted switches for my home.

Every Home Needs A Few of These
Every home has light switches that can't be seen at night when the room or area is dark. That means you have to "feel around" to find the light switch. You know about where the switch is, but not EXACTLY. Your hands may be dirty. Feeling around for the light switch in the dark will leave dirt on your walls! These light switch indicators solve that issue perfectly. You'll always know EXACTLY where the light switch is in the dark!

Works with LED - Dim Pilot Light - Great for a bedroom
I am a Master Electrician. THIS Legrande switch is made for use with LED bulbs. Other pilot light switches probably won't work. Save your time and money, buy this for LED's. It does not need a neutral, only a power wire and the "switched" wire to your lights. NOTE: the pilot is ON when the switch is OFF. This helps you find the switch in the dark. This pilot light is tiny and dim white. In normal light you probably have to get right next to it to see that it is on. At night there is a soft glow from the tiny pin prick from the LED. If you have one of these near a bedroom and are sensitive to light at night....This is the switch to get.

High quality switch.
I like the illumination of this switch. It is very faint, but does not look tacky as some other illuminated switches do. I also like the ability to backwire. (not backstab).

Easy to install, I was worried the night light would be too bright but it is a very small dot that allows you to find the switch but doesn't light up the room. Switch looks good, I don't like the name printed on the switch but it is a small thing, I would buy this again

Excellent switch. I don't need something that's too bright, or operates in the way my brain thinks is backwards. (flicking the bottom in or down to turn on) this switch is perfect for what I'm after.

Good switch. Save money and buy the one without the light. The light is the size of a pin head. You can’t see it at all.

Give just enough light through the pin hole led, to be able to find the switch in the dark.

Easy way to find a switch in the dark. Especially for guests
