The Body Slimmer helps you slim and trim you waist, hips, and thighs more effectively. By keeping your body warm, you'll shed excess water working out or doing everyday household chores. Review: Great quality, convenient and effecient! - The desertcart QA session provided enough hint for fitting. However, here goes again. I purchased a Sm/Med for my recovery workout and find it very snug fitting when first tried on. The construction is durable and well made. Material is thick. At that time, my waist was 28, widest on the bottom is 37 inch. After a few weeks of wearing this twice a day with gentle 30 min walking, the waist of the short is 2 inch too wide, and the leg opening is no longer touching my thigh. Currently My waist is 27, widest on the bottom is 36, widest thigh cir 19 inch. Simple math shows the short loosens up a bit with wear especially the waist area. I am 5 feet 9 with slightly longer inseam and this short comes to 3 inches above my knee. I had a series of shoulder and back injuries which spanned a few years and prevented physical workout and sometimes I couldn't even walk. Although my body has always been fit, even when not mobile, my lower body seemed swollen with water retention after years of inactivity. Even after I gradually restarted my gentle workout routine, the water retention problem did not go away. So I started wearing neoprene shorts in an attempt to address that. I did not expect drastic result from the neoprene short. I use the Everlast All-In-One Body Slimmer interchangeably with another brand, SlimHot capri. Here's what I really like about the Everlast All-In-One. This short is thicker than SlimHot and promotes better sweating. The All-In-One design means a built-in waist which really helps with my waist area during the first weeks of wearing it. I don't need any seperate belt or waist warp. Now the waist is too loose to help sweating but I'm hoping it will help prevent slipping down when my body is even better toned. The strength of Everlast All-In-One is also its shortcoming. It's thickness prevent mobility. So I have to remove this short before I start the after-walk stretching. I don't think I can wear this short for yoga or aerobic. After the first two weeks, my body seemed to have adjusted well to the short and no longer sweat. So I added two things. Now I spread a thin layer of Albolene cream, wrap simple kitchen saran wraps on top of the cream, then wear the neoprene short. This combination brought back the sweating. I think I've achieved my goal of using the Everlast Slimmer short. However, I still continue to wear it for walking because it raises my body temperature and my joints and lower back feel looser and better when walking wearing it. I give this short 5 star for slimming/toning, and 5 star as a maintenance workout short. Review: better than I expected - I was a bit hesitant to purchase this slimmer being a larger gal based on previous reviews. Though it is a bit embarrassing to share my measurements, I hope others find it helpful. I am 5'6, 200 lbs and curvy. The widest area of my hips is 44" and my natural waist is 38". I wear a standard size 14. Previous reviews have criticized the sizing of this slimmer. I purchased the Lg/XL size. I would say if anyone is larger in any of the above areas, this slimmer will not fit. With a bit of wiggling and holding things in, I was able to get the slimmer on. It feels a bit like wearing a wet suit. It does make quite a loud swishing noise due to the fabric. I wore a pair of athletic pants over them to lessen the noise. I also paired this item with a standard slimmer belt to cover the area between the top of my waist and just under my bust line. The zipper is not too noticeable or uncomfortable. I first wore this item to a Zumba class. It was somewhat stiff and a bit difficult to do some of the moves in, but it worked ok. By the end of the class, my pants behind my knees were so wet with sweat I could nearly wring them out. I wore it again on a stationary bike work out. This worked out much better. On a positive note, I feel slimmer while wearing this item because it smoothes while creating warmth. After 1 week of xenadrine diet supplements, slimmer belts, 1200 cal diet, and 5 days a week workout plan; I have lost 4 pounds, 2 inches around my waist and 1 inch off my hips. I can't say that any one of those items is the key, but together I am seeing results.

Overall, a great purchase...
These are true to size...as long as YOU are honest with what size you actually ARE. lol.... A small/medium is a size 6-8 ladies. I do love them....they really do cause your body to sweat in areas that don't normally sweat when working out...definitley increases your losses. They are also comfortable on. I sometimes wear them around the house just to remind me to pull in and tense my tummy muscles. I would have given them a 5 star but the material does stink...smell is that of a wet suit or rubber tires. It actually seems to be the same material wetsuits are made of. I don't wear them "out" anywhere because of the odor. If it wasn't for the smell, you could wear these under loose-fitting clothing and no one would know you had them on, since they are fairly thin and fit tight to the body. Oh welll....can't have everything, I guess.

works awesome
I bought this because I have a hard time sweating, I have anhidrosis. I'm not overweight but I do want to be able to sweat when I'm working out. I bought the small/medium (it only comes in S/M or L/XL). I feel like it should come in XS but I guess if you wear XS, you wouldn't need to us this item. Anyway, the small was slightly big for someone who weights 120 & petite but it snugs when your sweating in it. No worries tho because it doesn't slip off or anything. This product makes you sweat like heck when at the gym or running outdoors, def drink plenty of water before and after. Love it!

Makes you sweat, but no slimming effect
I'm 20 and have put on 10 lbs since high school. I'm 5'8" and currently weigh approx. 143 lbs so I am not absolutely dying to get this weight off. I have tried on and off to get rid of this nagging "pooch" as it seems to linger in my stomach/thighs/butt. My main method of exercise is running- doing a Couch to 5k app that definitely makes me sweat. This body slimmer sounded like a gift from Heaven, I mean how could it not work? It's comfortable to wear and doesn't irritate me. However, when running and breathing gets heavier, I find that this body slimmer restricts my stomach (obviously) and makes it cramp up which also restricts my air flow. I can't run as long as I could without the slimmer due to the restricted supply of breath. It's actually kind of painful. I would recommend wearing this when doing low-key aerobics such as walking or a dance class. IT DOES MAKE YOU SWEAT! I take it off and literally have to wipe the sweat off. While it does make you sweat, I have not noticed any difference in the size of my butt/thigh/stomach area. I started using this every time I ran but have eventually quit using it altogether. I may give it another shot and use it religiously since I did pay $20 for it, but overall I am not pleased with the results nor would I buy this again.

False size listing, not for larger size, or wide bodied people
I bought these they are comfortable, and have a side zipper they hug your body but not uncomfortably and dont feel heavy or bulky however there are major drawbacks to them as well Draw backs My gripe with these is I bought them in extra large which this really is not, and was the largest size listed, even in this size if you have wide hips like I do and, and a wide waist you cannot close the side zipper and have to wear them with the side zipper left open which is a real pain in the A. Some wider versions are needed because some of us no matter how thin we get will still always be wide bodied, I know they are not really an extra large because that is what I normally wear and that size fits me perfectly, but with these I cant close the zipper, they are a large at the most, wound up giving both pairs to a smaller sized friend Suggestion Ladies if like me you are larger built I suggest you try another brand, or get a mans version of this, a friend of mine did that and it worked way better for her I do not blame Amazon for this I have a long happy buying history with them and will continue to do so, I blame the manufacturer it is up to them to make the correct sizes, and mark the merchandise with the correct sizes on the packageing. Hope this helps you

A few details and sizing tips.
I just received my item today. I've gotten a little out of shape due to back issues, and want to maximize my cardio workouts. I'm sure this product will aid in that. I really want to touch base on a few key points I saw mentioned in other reviews. As far as an over bearing rubber smell the item I have is really not bad at all. Yes, there is the rubber odor. I have a pretty sensitive sense of smell and this is just fine for me. I'm sure it will likely come out out all together after a few rinses in mild detergent. I'd rather it smell a little rubbery, and new, than musty like it had been stored forever or previously worn. Now, for sizing. I read every single review (around 128) and was still left questioning measurements so I will try to be as specific as possible in an effort to help others. The Everlast website also had no sizing guidelines. I am 5'2". Currently around 143 lbs. I gain weight proportionately - so pretty evenly over my entire body. I maintain an hourglass shape it just becomes less defined with weight gain. I also have more muscle than typical in someone of my stature due to my welding career and metal fabrication. I also want to stress that I take measurements with a cloth tape meant for measuring the body and clothing. Measurements in inches: Rib cage just below my breasts measures 34" Waist narrowest part 30.5" Widest area of hips 38.5" Buttocks widest point 40" Largest area of thighs both are at 23" Length of body from sternum to top center pelvis 13" I ordered the small/medium wondering if I made the right choice. (I worried it may be too small). The fit is surprisingly like clothing to be honest. I feel as though I'm wearing a form fitting garment. I had no trouble at all putting it on, pulling it up, or zipping it. It's not too tight, as a matter of fact I wish it was a bit tighter around the stomach and hips. I always worry about thigh fit, as I do have "thunder thighs". I was afraid the hem may cut into them. They fit perfect. Like a pair of stretch jeans when you first put them on. The hem is not digging into my legs at all. All in all I am extremely comfortable and happily surprised with the fit. I will be putting on a thin tank top or long sports bra before working out. While the top of the zipper isn't bothering me now, I'm sure it will probably become more pronounced with sweating and movement. I'm definitely happy with the product. I do hope that will help give a decent starting point in sizing for some.

Great product!
I love this body slimmer! I have been using it for a couple months now and it really helps with water weight and giving your workout that extra push. I bought this in a large/x-large and it fits pretty good. My waist is about a 29 and it is a bit loose there but the thigh hip region was a bit snug. I have wide hips and not the smallest thighs. But with a lil dance you will get in to it. Plus after using it for awhile you will lose some inches. It does smell like rubber but that is to be expected with the material it is made of. You want to sweat right!?! I use this while doing p90 and find it pretty easy to move around in. It can be a bit stiff if you fill out an area a bit more but like I said no worries you will be thrilled once you start feeling and looking better.

Quite good!
When I have choose it was not showing any size, so I took the risk. When it came was size L and I though damn this is going to be too big for me that I am a size 10 but when I put on it was perfect and make you sweat for real.. so very happy with my choice!!!

Exactly what I wanted
My old pair bought from Argos years ago have become worn and torn. These aren't as thick hence the 4 stars, but come up to the waist, have the everlast logo and long side zip. Do they make a difference to my workouts? Well I definitely sweat harder and it does feel like it's helping. So it's a thumbs up from me.
