Yeah, that per count number is way off. My local wmart sells these for $3 a box, so I'm not clamoring to buy a case for almost $5 ea.

There is definitely a taste difference when used well before "sell buy date." I would call the co. 877 295 9604. BTW, the nutritional info. is incorrect as well.
