Great quality, great bargain.
I lift weights and am reasonably strong, but I wanted to work on my grip strength, not just for the obvious reasons (nice looking forearms, useful grip), but if you weren't aware, training grip strength helps keep your wrists, elbows, and shoulders from getting injured - when I used to bench straight bar all the time I would get pretty bad elbow pain unless I also trained grip at least twice a week. These are great, for $30 its a bargain. The 100lbs when I first started I could do for 15 reps right off the bat, which is about where you want to start at, 10-15 reps. I find forearms respond better to higher reps, there's no real reason to do 4-6 reps as an exercise unless you're just seeing where you are strength wise. Could close the 150lbs one to within a 1/2 mm the first time, and the 200lbs I could just get parallel - so this is a great set for me. Very well made, not noisy like some of these are, and the knurling is great for grip, and toughening up your hands a little. 5 stars from me, if you haven't trained with grip trainers before, or aren't really strong already (bricklayers, I'd get something heavier :)), this is what I would get.

Awesome!
I purchased the 100, 150 and 200 and also the 250, 300 and 350 Let me start off by saying that I have pretty intense forearms and grip to begin with. I have 50, 60, 90 and 100 lb rubber rings that I squeeze alot. I broke the 100lb ring and decided that I needed to revert to metal. I would have gone to these in the first place if I had known about them! Very good value and very good quality. Every heavy grip comes with a lifetime warranty. I see reviews complaining that something broke, well get a replacement for life! I had no problems at all with my grippers. They were right in-line with their rated spec weight. Because I had already been doing the rings etc the 100lb was not enough and I gave it to a buddy. I started with the 150 and 200. The gripper package tells you, but I will emphasize again train like you would with any other weight and you will see impressive gains in your hand strength. 10-12 reps and then do the higher weight 10-12 and then drop to the lower weight and do 10-12 more reps. Negatives or using your non gripping hand to assist squeezing then slowly releasing with your gripper hand works too. Then give yourself a day to recover. So I started with the 150 and 200 and in 5-6 days (or my 2nd or 3rd session) I started integrating the negative 250 lbs down to the 150. After about 8-9 days I am only using the 200 and 250. I did a bunch of reps with the 150 for the heck of it earlier after a set with the 250 and 200 though. I plan on starting to integrate the 300 with negatives in another 5-7 days. When you get to the point of doing the 200, 250, 300 or 350 no one will have a stronger grip than you. I squeeze my reps with the 250 and no one that I work with can come close to squeezing it once. A guy who I work with saw the 250 in the drawer at work and picked it up and tried to squeeze it. He looked at me and was in disbelief that I squeezed the thing (He actually didn't believe that I did until I grabbed it from him and knocked out 10 reps) You get to the 200 or 250 and Popeye will have nothing on you. Beyond that and you need to be very careful when you shake other peoples hands. Great quality grippers delivered promptly and inexpensively. I highly recommend.

Just what I was looking for
These are a lot sturdier than I was expecting. They feel very solid in your hand. The grip strengths were pretty much perfect for me just getting started with trying to improve my grip. I'm 5'11" 185lbs and lift weights regularly, but haven't done any grip strengthening before. I started with the 100 and it's a great starting point, I can just barely do it 10 times (while holding it together for 1 second after each squeeze) so I'll probably get a week or so out of this one before moving up to the 150. Only negative is that the pattern on the handles doesn't feel great when squeezing hard, but I suppose I'll just have to develop some light calluses there to match those from my regular weight lifting.

Excellent to build grip strength
Good tools for building grip strength. The set makes for a nice progression as you build a firmer grip. Quality seems high, and squeaking from the spring while squeezing is pretty minimal. The knurled grip keeps the device in your hands, but it can take a little while ((about a week) for your palms to get used to the feel of the texture under pressure. The 'rating' marked on the grippers may be a little off, but I haven't measured or tried to directly compare against another grip device. When I squeeze the three grippers, the difference between 100 and 150 grippers seems greater than the difference between 150 and 200, but this is a very subjective observation, YMMV. I have not compared these to Captains of Crush. These certainly seem like a much better value.

Hand grips
I was not really sure which brand of grips to buy as I have never bought grips before. I also was not sure which strength set to buy. I ended up getting the 100, 150, and 200 set. I am glad I bought just the three to start. Perhaps I'll buy the higher strength sets later. The 100 is enough for me to use on my right and left hand to start. I workout quite a bit and am athletic. My right hand seems to be getting the hang of the 100 quicker, so I'll move to the 150 soon. My left hand is still working on the 100. I am trying to do three sets of 10 with the 100 before moving up to the 150 (each time squeezing the grip until the handles touch). These grips seem to be nicer than the ones they sell in the retail stores and have more tension to them. The grip handles are rough, but they have not bothered my hands. It is nice to work on these grips while in the car or on the couch.

Mejor compra Captains of Crush.
