Good scope for what I'm using it for.
I did not buy this to use as a tracking scope but to use with my C90 to take photos of the Sun, Moon, and objects such as the Pleiades, & Orion's nebula. With a much shorter focal length than the C90 it gives less magnification and a wider field of view than my C90. It is well made, well packaged and I think it is a very good deal for the price. It can also be used with a 2x Barlow or a .5 focal reducer, and also as a finder scope.

You can't beat the value. Sharp optics, great focuser.
This finder/guidescope is an excellent product for the price. The optics are very sharp, and the focuser is excellent. Other reviews state the draw tube part of the focuser is loose, and that is not true in my experience. The rough-focus drawtube is very solid when the adjustment screw is tightened down, and the helical focuser allows extremely precise focusing. Another review stated the focuser doesn't have enough travel to accomodate the popular ASI120 guidecamera, and that is also false. The drawtube allows enough backfocus to easily accomodate my ASI120 without any extension tubes. Buy with confidence, this product is an excellent value. I will be selling a significantly more expensive Orion guidescope that doesn't have enough backfocus to accomodate my ASI120 guiding camera in favor of this one.

Not too well thought out
My primary use for this is as a guide scope. There are some problems that need to be addressed. First, the rear ring mount, if placed in the original position with the front mount against the lip on the dew shield interferes with the draw tube lock. You have two solutions - slide the scope back and secure the front ring on the dew shield or drill a second mounting hole to move the rear ring forward. I chose the 2nd for a reason. The objective is secured by the dew shield. You unscrew the dew shield maybe 5 - 6 mm and you can have the objective in your hand. Or on the floor. That's why the dew shield is not an especially good way to support the front of the scope. There is not enough back focus to use the ZWO120mm camera without some extension. The camera does come with a 22 mm extension and that is enough to get you to focus. Note that the camera cannot be fully seated but is about 1/2 way out of the focuser with everything extended. It should work well enough, but it's not quite ready to go out of the box. It does focus well enough, although the helical portion is a bit stiff. The draw tube has a scale to use different gear more easily. The image seems decently sharp.

Great guidescope to pair with a medium focal range scope
Good guide scope. It pairs well with my sv503 102ed and gives me good guiding in PHD2. I have it working with a QHY guide camera with a IR pass filter. My only real complaint is with the focus. I wish more guide scopes used the pinion style focus knobs so I could use an autofocus module with them.

Took a chance and I'm pleased with this guide scope
I looked at the listing carefully and decided this was the same scope made for other companies, but at a lower cost. Curiously it has the same model number as a 50mm finder, so I wasn't sure I was going to receive a 60, but I did. I mounted it to my Celestron 8SE to be used as an autoguider as shown in the photo It is actually a bit longer than I expected, but fits the 8SE well after I added a second vixen bar to give it plenty of support. I didn't use the narrow dovetail that came with the scope, however it is well made. so I may reuse that for another purpose. Instead I mounted the rings onto an extra pair of clamps I had. The optical quality is very nice. No visible aberrations or distortions from edge to edge, and the image is nice and bright with crisp contrast. I do see a purplish colored coating on the objective, so it may have an antireflection coating of some kind. I may need to tweak the focuser once I attach the camera, but for just using an eyepiece, everything works well and is smooth without being overly loose or overly tight. The only thing I didn't care for were the six inexpensive screws used to center the scope in the rings. They seem to be cast aluminum and not machined in any way. I may clean them up later with a die cutter. I also will add some lock nuts before my final alignment with the main scope, just to keep everything aligned and tight. So overall, I'm happy with the purchase and I think Svbony needs to be considered when choosing products of this type.

Great quality guide scope!
I received this scope quickly and have not put it to use yet because the skies have been cloudy and sky viewing is limited. I do already have the 50mm version of this and it works great as a guide scope. It is simular in weight, size but with a longer focal length. All parts was there and assembly was quick and easy. I will be using this with a 90mm refractor telescope and ASI224 guide camera.

Poor Concept - Poor Support - Poor Quality Control
I bought this scope with the idea in mind of using it for a finder scope, with a diagonal prism and a cross hair eyepiece, and then later on buying a guide camera, and using it as a guider scope. But first, I will deal with each of the issues I encountered, in the order they occured. Right out of the box, it looked and felt like a quality item. But then, there was not a scrap of paper in the box, explaining how it went together, or how to use it. There wasn't any paper with a website address for instructions or support. There wasn't even a little paper that said "Inspected by, Number - 27"! It wasn't any challenge to figure out how to assemble it. But not everyone has experience with these kinds of things, so I thought it was a bit odd not to have any kind helpful information at all in the box. So, after I got it put together, I got an eyepiece out, to see what I could see through it. First I got my illuminated cross hair eyepiece out, and I slipped it into the scope. No luck. And then I noticed that there is very little focus travel in the "helical focus" knob. So all I got w as what looked like Bokeh in a dslr closeup shot. So then I tried my wide view, long relief, 20 mm eyepiece. Again, no luck. I did everything but stand on my head to look through it, but I could not get any focus at all. Finally I took the completely eyepiece out and then I drew it back, completely free of the eyepiece holder. And when I got it back to about an inch and a half from the scope, I got a good, crisp focus. But then I noticed what looked like an eyelash in the field of view, and also there were other specks grunge and other dirty looking spots as well. And it wasn't on my eyepiece, because the objects in the field of view stayed still, and they were always in the same place, all of the time. And the dirt and such was in the very same place, on both eyepieces I tried. It wasn't grunge on the objective lens, because it was too well focused. So it had to be garbage somewhere on the back glass area, nearer the eyepiece. Unbelievable! So, I sent it back, and received another one. Same thing. No instructions, no nothing in the box except for the scope. Finally though I fiddles with the thumbscrew on the barrel, and yanked around a bit, and presto! Out slid the extra extension tube, after which i was able to get good focus. And this one has no dirt inside of it it! But, that side, mostly, due to the poor QC, and to a complete lack of information about support, I will never again order anything else from this outfit.

meets all specs
Well priced complete guide scope can be used as a quick grab and go mini telescope. Not the sharpest images but great for quick snaps while doing visual astronimy. At 260mm Focal length good image magnicication \ field of view. Can be used to align target for Visual Astronomy.

Best refractor scope in affordable category
Very happy with this scope. I've used this as main scope with ZWO ASI224MC camera and done DSO Astrophotography. It is quite capable of producing sharp images. My images attached are done by Live Stacking. No flat or dark frames used.
