Binge read this in one sitting yesterday! And I'm going to be honest, I'm absolutely spellbound by this series." - Angie, Angie's Dreamy Reads ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What’s a girl to do after being ditched at the altar by text message? That’s right. Text. Message. How does she pick up the pieces and move on? I’m no Dear Abby but here’s a little free advice… Advice #1 – First, purge your apartment of all things him—by tossing his belongings off the balcony. Advice #2 – Do not, I repeat do not, throw anything out into the hallway because you’ll injure your hot new neighbor. Advice #3 – When said neighbor brings over Chinese Food do not let him stay and keep you company. It’s awkward when you realize he’s your boss. Advice #4 – Accept his offer to help you with your side business but think twice before using a date to his sister’s wedding as collateral. Advice #5 – Investigate who your mystery neighbor really is. Don’t trust his word even if he’s the world’s best kisser. If you listen to nothing else, pay attention to that last one. It’s the most important and will save you a lot of heartache. xo, LOVESICK IN LAKE STARLIGHT

A captivating, laugh-out-loud romance
Piper Rayne is back with another captivating laugh out loud romance, that literally had me grinning and swooning with every single chapter. Advice From A Jilted Bride picks up the story of the Bailey family with the middle child Brooklyn Bailey, who was on her way to saying 'I do' when who she thought was the love of her life ends things minutes before the procession. Heart broken and angry at the opposite sex, Brooklyn begins the journey of starting over when she meets her new neighbor, Wyatt, a smoldering business man with secrets that no one can know about.I absolutely adore this series and this installment just furthers my belief that the writing duo are one of the Goddesses on Romance Olympus. Simple as that. From the very beginning of the novel, we are instantly pulled into the aftermath of Brooklyn not so quite wedding and her absorbing the news that she wont be a wife after all. Kind with a flare for the art of sass, I connected with Brooklyn on so many levels to the point where I wanted to protect her at all costs. Brooklyn never wavered in what she wanted and stood her ground for her beliefs and the love she has for the people who live in Lake Starlight.Just like in the first novel, I love the bond and the firm relationship she has with her family as I got to see how each of them played their role in her life and how solid they were to support and protect her no matter what her decision or actions were. Trust was a huge theme throughout this novel and I felt like the Bailey family is a great depiction of what a healthy solid family looks like when each of them trusts the other. From the get-go, the chemistry between Wyatt and Brooklyn was off the chart and I was shipping the crap out of them from the moment he set foot into her apartment to check on her. Cool, crisp, educated, and sarcastic Wyatt is someone that you have to try really hard not to fall in love with. I loved the backstory we were given of Wyatt as he makes his new temporary home in Lake Starlight and watching his character develop and new layers begin to unfold with each scene and chapter was truly enchanting.Advice From A Jilted Bride is a captivating, laugh-out-loud romance that tells the story of finding yourself and second loves. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who loves a good romance comedy with a flare for the steamy side.

Wyatt is so HOT!!!
Wyatt is so HOT!I had never read Piper Rayne book before I bought this one. I liked the cover. Simple as that. Now I know and now I have read all three Bailey Family books! The one before this one and the one that just came out. But, this one – Brooklyn and Wyatt’s story – is my favorite. The Baileys are revered in Lake Starlight, Alaska. Their parents were killed leaving nine siblings alone. But the two oldest, Austin and Samantha, still kids themselves raised their younger siblings with the help of their Grandma Dori AND kept the family business in the black. You did not mess with the Baileys. So, when the third eldest, Brooklyn, was left at the altar by her feckless fiancé who told her by text (no less), it was a scandal! As the book begins, we find Brooklyn sitting in her new apartment ripping her wedding dress to shreds with a pair surrounded by her sisters. They are there to get Brooklyn out of her lease and all of Jeff’s possessions out of the space. His clothes were sailing out the patio doors and his books were zooming out the apartment door just as new neighbor, Wyatt, was moving in.He was there in Alaska for nefarious reasons as his father bought the hotel where Brooklyn and most of the town’s population worked if they did not work for the Bailey Timber Company. He was to assess the viability of keeping the resort open; she was recovering from her destroyed romance. But friendship has a way of healing wounds and becoming romance.I loved this book! There is romance, attraction, sex, and humor. She does have four big brothers, doesn’t she? Take my word for it! You will not be disappointed!!

New neighbor to new love
Brooklyn Bailey is about to get married when she receives a TEXT from her soon to be husband that he can't go through with the wedding! All her family rallies around her and taker her back to her apartment that she was to live with her new husband. Brooklyn starts throwing out Jeff's stuff and tosses a book into the hall and it hits Wyatt and cuts his forehead. Brooklyn checks on him to make sure he's ok. She then decides to go on her honeymoon alone but finds out that her ex cashed in her ticket so she can't go. She decides not to tell her family and just holes up in her apartment. Wyatt sees her and decides to take care of her. He encourages her to expand her essential oils and helps her with the business part of it. Brooklyn knows that he's the manager of the hotel she works at but not that he's really the owner's son. What will she do when she finds out? Will Wyatt figure out how to keep Brooklyn before it's too late? Will her family let him live? Piper Rayne never disappoints with any of the books and this one is no exception. There's so much story here and I enjoyed it all. We get a sneak peak at the next book and it looks really good. I read an advanced copy but have the book now.

Neighbors/workplace romance that gives off some new friends-to-lovers vibes.
Brooklyn came out of nowhere and I love her! After reading Lessons From A One-Night Stand, I was excited to keep reading this series but I will admit I was more excited for other sibling's stories and a bit less excited for Brooks. But I ended up loving her story so much and I will never question Piper Rayne again! Advice From A Jilted Bride is a neighbors/workplace romance that gives off some new friends-to-lovers vibes and has a bit of a reformed playboy billionaire hero. After being left at the altar, Brooklyn is determined to cleanse herself of anything and everything that reminds her of her ex...what she didn’t mean to do was knock her hot new neighbor upside the head in the process. I totally understood Brook because I would’ve been on a warpath too had my fiance left me at the altar. She rediscovers a lot of things about herself in this book and it was so cute seeing Wyatt support her along the way.I love the Bailey boys, but these Bailey girls know how to find some great guys! Wyatt was so sweet! At first, I assumed he’d be a playboy, entitled rich guy, but he never once gave off those vibes in the present tense of the book. He was sweet and supportive and never pushed too much with Brook. It was really sweet to see and I was totally swooning over him! These two worked so well together and even when they weren’t together you’d think they were! I really enjoyed the slow progression of their relationship because it made them coming together so sweet! This series is already becoming one of my favorites. It’s not very high on the steam levels, but it's sweet and easy to read. I find myself just getting so enveloped into this world and I don’t want to leave it. If you're looking for a small-town series to fall in love with you should definitely give this series a shot! It has a little bit of everything and a lot of super sweet romance!

Enjoyable read
I really enjoyed reading this book, I had it in my library for such a long time, I kept putting it off, not ready for it until today, and I have to say that I was presently surprised how it unfolded, I really got into the story, it was a fun read all around. Now on to the next book.

3 1/2 stars only
I loved the first book so much that I went to this one immediately. For the most part, it's a good story and still, even with my complaints, better than so many others available. Negatives=For one thing, Brooklyn didn't seem as interesting in her role as a side character in book one as her other siblings and so I wasn't as drawn to this story. Possible **spoilers** below... The first 2/3s of the book was good but all dog story stuff was a dud. It wasn't funny or interesting. Austin & Holly got a dog with potential to be large but didn't train him or neuter him and then added a second dog and puppies and then later Wyatt gives a pup to Brook and they have no clue either. None of them should be pet parents. Next, Brook was pretty cool dealing with all her trauma and changes but the after she and Wyatt are finally together, she seems to suddenly act childish. First she and her bff talk disrespectfully at a work thing, then suddenly she's upset and hateful about her coworkers maybe talking about her dating the boss....yet then, even after about 3 of them are jerks about it, one of Brooks big issues about maybe leaving with Wyatt is the "can't have my dream if my work family suffers". That was weak. If the writers wanted to play it that way then they should have all been behind her. She was a maid, not the manager. Not her job to save anyone. Last, yet somehow to me, the most annoying...the massive over use of the word "screamed". To me, you scream when you are being murdered or maybe on a roller coaster in happy fear. Everyone in the book screamed at each other. Why not "yelled", "called", "cried", "howled","hollered" or even "demanded loudly"? I still consider this a pretty good read but I'm no longer willing to read them all as I thought I would after book 1.

Neighbors to Lovers
I am so in love with this series. I can't believe I waited this long before I finally read it. Piper Rayne knows what their doing when writing a story that will have you swooning and loving these characters. This neighbors to lovers, hidden identity, bride left at the alter, and some boss / employee romance is so good.Brooklyn and Wyatt have so much chemistry, and the steam comes through the pages. I really loved the build of this relationship. There was friendship first. I always think that makes for a stronger connection. Both characters are not looking for anything serious, and neither want to admit things changed made me so sad for them both.Their HEA was earned and fought for.I can't wait for more Baileys to fall!!!

Another wonderful addition.
Piper Rayne quickly became one of my favourite authors a few years ago and this is why. I love the hometown setting for this series. The dynamics between the siblings is hilarious, loving and realistic. The growing embers of love between Brooklyn and Wyatt was beautiful and I am so happy I was along for the ride to see it ignite. Beautiful story with great characters and a solid plot, get reading you won't regret it xxx

Love it, love it, love it!
I really can't get enough from the Bailey's!This book is about Brooklyn and Wyatt.Brooklyn got jilted at the altar by her douchbag of fiancè by a text message.Wyatt is her new neighbor. At first he doesn't want to get involved in it .... but if you know granny Dori you know - he has no other choice. She asked him to take of her Brookie. And so it goes ... by the time they become friends and more. You can feel how the banter (and love) between them steadily grows.*sigh* Where are the Wyatt's in real life? So, please, click "buy" and start reading! You will love their story - and if you didn't read Lesson's of a one night stand yet - buy and read it! You will not be disappointed! So, and now I can't wait to read Denver's story...
