>1yr and still very happy with this buy! Plain to get more soon for other coolers!
Water freezes at 32ยฐF, and some foods (like ice cream) donโt freeze until much colder temperatures. These Arctic Ice Alaskan Series packs are engineered to freeze at 32ยฐF. Thatโs the key. Because they freeze at the same temperature as water your food wonโt freez next to the ice pack. It takes a lot of energy and time for the ice packs to go from solid ice pack to liquid. This keeps your food closer to 32ยฐF for much longer than a regular ice pack that usually drops your food below 32ยฐ which is wasteful and usually messes up your food that wasnโt meant to freez. Iโm not sure if they hold more BTUs than plain ice, but Iโve been taking these to work every day and they hold up great โ no leaks, no problems, still going strong. If you want to keep frozen food then get the Tundra series otherwise get this Alaskan series to help keep you food in the safe range of 32-40ยฐ longer!

by the end of the day it was still cool inside and still kept my water bottles sitting next ...
I've been using this for four months every Saturday and Sunday in a 30 quart Coleman cooler. I work a farmers market from 8am to 5pm in Texas summer heat both days. This keeps my water and whatever I need to keep ice cold, cold. Sometimes I'll throw in a small blue ice pack if I need to use that in another soft sided cooler for fresh veggies. Yesterday morning I had to run and pick up 2 gallons of milk from a farm (2 hour drive) and used the Arctic Ice pack. I forgot to put in the freezer last night and needed to run some errands and pick up some cold items today. It was still cold from yesterday morning and so I left it in the cooler and threw in a small blue ice pack. I left at 9:30 a.m. and it was 1:00 p.m. before I finally got to the store to shop. Even sitting in my hot car while running in and out of other stores, it was still cold enough to put frozen vegetables, ice cream and other refrigerated items in and keep them cold till I got home. The last couple weeks I've moved it to a Coleman Xtreme 70 quart cooler to keep my pastries cooler with our temps hitting 100. Considering I had to open and close it often to remove and replace the pastry containers out to serve customers or get my water, by the end of the day it was still cool inside and still kept my water bottles sitting next to it ice cold. There was no room for a blue ice pack to help out.

This Product Is Awesome! They Never Swell & Durable
These Used To Be Called (ULTRA ICE) Many Years Ago I Bought (4) Large Packs For My Huge Rotomolded Cooler Because A 30lb Bag Of Ice Costs $11 Dollars And Get This! 4 Years Later The Money I Saved Not Buying Ice And Needing To Drain The Melted Water! A 30lb Bag Of Ice Or 2 Large Of This Design Ice Packs Are The Same Thing In 3 Days Only No Melted Water. Last Week I For The First Time Dropped A Large Pack Frozen On My Cement Garage Floor And No Damage! No Leaks. When I Say Ice And Ice Packs Last 3 Days I'm Taking About In Summer Weather 90 Degrees Outside And My Huge Cooler Is In My Car Interior Maybe 150 Degrees So An Igloo Cooler Or Rotomolded Cooler? These Might Last A Day In A Junk Cooler! Being If You Buy The Most Expensive Ice Pack And Freeze It An Place It In Your Junk Walmart Cooler It's Not The Ice Packs Fault!

Great for weekend adventures
My wife and I purchased these for use in our Yeti 35L cooler. We tested the use of 4 of them on a 10 road trip. We started by freezing them 72hrs in advance while using block ice to concurrently pre-cool the Yeti. The Artic ice packs gave us a lot more functional space in the cooler than using traditional ice products. We did not make it the whole 10 days which was knowingly going to be a stretch, however, these were great for the first 3 to 5 days in keeping our meat, eggs, cheese, oat milk, and creamer cold. After day 5 things were noticeably less cool but nothing went bad. Only the deli meat did not get eaten toward the end b/c we were skeptical. I will absolutely use these for weekend and long weekend trips. For the longer trips I think it would be important to have a stop where you can refreeze the packs and transfer goods into a fridge for a few days while you refreeze the packs or it may just be more appropriate to use a 12v fridge in the vehicle instead. These would also compliment a 12v fridge setup as well in order to offset the hours when a vehicle might not be running and keeping the fridge cool in the absence of an independent power source.

Keeps it cold!
I bought this to use in my Yeti cooler, and I am happy to say it works great! My drinks stay cold for hours even when my cooler is outside. It feels really durable and rugged, so Iโm sure itโll last for years.

Great size. Keeps food cold. freezes fast .Didn't stay frozen any longer than other freezer packs that i have. Definitely not as long as my FREE gel packs that people through away.

Awesome
Amazing retention. They last under the right circumstances for a few days. If you keep the cooler closed and not open all the time. Water off the ice. Drain the water out of your cooler. Let the freeze in the fridge for a day or more. Very big.

Works as advertised. The trick is not to use ...
Works as advertised. The trick is not to use this to chill food but rather to keep cold food cold. I use in a pelican cooler which I pre-chill with 2-3 bags of ice (overnight). With 4 of these packs and a full load of cold food, it will last 5-7 days.. Obvious conditions, keep cooler out of the sun, limit time its left open, etc.
