Great compilation of Roberta Flack songs. Can't go wrong purchasing this anthology of all her hits. Arrived well packaged and timely. It is heaven hearing songs from that era. Voices were pure, melodic - none of the so-called music AKA noise you now hear these days. So if you long to listen to wonderful - beautiful - soulful music - and lyrics that MADE SENSE - this is the CD for you.

'Killing Me Softly With His Song' is a beautiful song with a nice melody and lovely vocals by Roberta Flack and her background singers (Hip Hop group The Fugees covered the song and rapper/singer Lauryn Hill's is nice but I liked Roberta's version better); 'Where Is The Love' -Roberta Flack & Donny Hathaway is another beautiful song with a nice melody and fantastic vocals by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway; 'Feel Like Makin' Love' is yet another beautiful song with a lovely melody and lovely vocals by Roberta; 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' is a lovely song with a lovely melody and beautiful vocals by Roberta; 'And So It Goes' is a nice song with nice beats and nice vocals by Roberta and her background singers (nice lyrics by poet Maya Angelou, Roberta Flack and Barry Miller); 'Tonight, I Celebrate My Love' -Peabo Bryson & Roberta Flack is a beautiful love song with a nice melody and nice vocals by Roberta Flack and Peabo Bryson; 'The Closer I Get To You' -With Donny Hathaway is a lovely song with a nice melody and nice vocals by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway; 'Til The Morning Comes' is a nice song with a nice melody and nice vocals by Roberta and her background singers; 'Back Together Again-With Donny Hathaway is another nice song with nice beats and nice vocals by Roberta Flack, Donny Hathaway and background vocals by singers Gwen Guthrie and Luther Vandross; 'Makin' Love is yet another nice song with a nice melody and nice vocals by Roberta; 'Only Heaven Can Wait' ('For Love') is a nice song with nice beats and nice vocals by Roberta and her background singers; 'Set The Night To Music' -Roberta Flack & Maxi Priest is another nice song with nice beats and nice vocals by Roberta Flack and Maxi Priest (nice lyrics by songwriter Diane Warren); 'You Are My Heaven'-With Donny Hathaway is a good song with good beats and good vocals by Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway (nice lyrics by songwriters Stevie Wonder and Eric Mercury); 'Oasis' is a nice song with nice beats and nice vocals by Roberta and her background singers (nice lyrics by songwriters Marcus Miller and Mark Stephens); 'Don't Make Me Wait Too Long' is not a cover song of singer Barry White; this version is different and the beats are good as well as good vocals by Roberta and her background singers (nice lyrics by singer/songwriter Stevie Wonder); 'And So It Goes' (Reprise) is 'filler'; 'Trade Winds' is a nice song with nice beats and nice vocals by Roberta and her background singers. Great music and it brings back so many memories!

The item was perfect. However, it took forever to get it! While most Amazon items arrive within a week, this took 19 day. Where did it come from, central China?

Roberta Flack has to be one of the most romantic singers R&B history, or all of music history for that matter. Her earlier work especially the tracks climbed the charts in the 1970s is what I remember her for. Anyway, when I saw this collection on Amazon's $5 album list I checked out out...listened to the tracks, and bam - clicked that button and bought that album. The first half of the album is what I really wanted, but you get get lots of other good though largely lesser known later works as well. My personal favorites are: - Killing Me Softly With His Song - Where is the Love - Feel Like Making Love - The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - Tonight, I Celebrate My Love to You - The Closer I Get to You With those six hits I surpassed my usual threshold for buying an album...that I can get the album for less than it would cost me to buy only the tracks I want. Anyway, though there is always lots of discussion and arguing and bickering about which tracks should or should not be on a "very best" collection, I like the list that's here, and IMO, it's a very nice introduction to the music of this musical icon. 5 stars

Stunning , like she was

Este disco es perfecto para quien no tenga ninguno de Roberta Flack. Tiene la mayoría de sus grandes canciones con temas modernos y otros que no lo son tanto. Música tranquila y agradable de escuchar,alguno de ellos con ritmo como el formidable "Oasis" pero dentro del estilo que caracteriza a Roberta. Sólo hay una pega,en la última canción del CD hay un error de grabación,no sé si sólo es en mi disco o es generalizado,si no fuera por esto el recopilatorio sería perfecto.
