Logitech M305 Wireless Mouse (Silver)

I bought this wireless mouse for my desktop computer to get rid of the wire and help clean up my computer desk. I was surprised at how nice it was to use and how convenient a wireless mouse can be. The nano USB receiver which plugs into your computer USB port is so tiny you don't even notice it and won't get damaged - it only sticks out about 1/4 inch. The mouse feels solid, well made, and has very good ergonomics. It's compact - a little smaller than my old regular mouse, but not really small. Perfect for a desktop or laptop. It has an on-off switch on the bottom, but also has a power saver feature which seems to reduce power automatically when not actually in use, so the AA battery lasts a long time. I have been using mine for one month now, have NEVER switched it off, and the battery is still strong. It responds instantaneously, smoothly and faultlessly. I checked its range just for curiosity, and it will work from way across the room - much further than I can see the screen. I'm going to get another one for my laptop now. I love a product which does its job superbly, looks good, feels good and especially is reasonably priced. I'd highly recommend this M305 mouse whether you really need a wireless mouse or not, you will love it.

For my 20 bucks I got what I paid for and more. This mouse is still in use on my wife's computer and works perfectly. It sips the energy from the battery. I am not 100% sure how long they actually last but I know for sure that each battery is lasting several months before we have to replace it and she uses that laptop with this mouse almost every day. The Nano receiver is great. It is so small she never has to take it out. The laptop slides right into it's case with no catching issues at all from this little thing. It is simply too small to be a problem, it doesn't stick out much more than a pencil eraser in size. It also stores away inside the mouse itself if you do need to remove it so you never lose it. It has a power save feature which automatically turns the mouse off when not in use in order to save battery life even more. There is also a switch on the bottom of it to turn it off manually for packing and traveling with.This thing comes in many color choices and is the one I recommend to all my friends who need a wireless travel/laptop mouse. I have since bought additional units for my own personal use.Highly recommended.

This mouse is excellent. The clicking is in the sweet spot. Some mice are too hard to click others are too responsive to the touch, this mouse is just right. The little usb receiver is great. Its very small so you can leave it in your laptop and toss it in your bag. If you are traveling you can put the usb receiver in the mouse. that's right in the mouse. The only problem i have it that i keep forgetting to turn the mouse off before i go to sleep so its on all night but i think it goes into sleep mode b/c this thing has been on for at least 100 hours and the battery still works. It is a small mouse but its not a problem. My hands are kinda big and i still find it great to use; i even use it for playing counter strike. The mouse is only the length of my knuckle to the tip of my finger so there is a bit of my hand resting on my table but it feels the same as any other mouse. the sides of the mouse are perfect. Your hand will form around this mouse and you can use it for hours without any strain. Installation is a breeze i just plugged it in and it worked in a few seconds(using windows 7) This is my first wireless mouse and i never want to touch a wired mouse again after using this product. I strongly recommend this mouse to everyone

update: in hind sight, you might consider the logitech mx anywhere mouse. Though the mx is more expensive, it works on any surface, such as glass. I liked the M305 but found that i had to buy the mx as i had trouble on some surface with the m305.----I like this mouse because:PROS:a) It uses a single AA battery - lasts for a few months. I use eneloop.b) Mouse is very smooth and responsive. Absolutely no delay.c) The scroll mouse does make some sound, but I am not aware of it while I use my computer.d) There's an ON/OFF button.e) *** love this: the compartment that holds the battery also can hold the mini USB transmitter! It's enclosed so it won't pop out.I bought some generic mouse before and it failed after a few months. I bought a few M305 from radio shack when it was on sale - used it for about 6 months. I then bought another when it was on sale on amazon. No issue so far. I would go with this instead of the generic mouse that also have the mini transmitter because I hear that some of the mini transmitter would get hot and get shorted after a few months. I had that experience.

The Logitach Wireless Mouse worked really well and is totally compatible with my Acer Netbook. I like having the wireless capability especially when I want to use my netbook while I'm watching television or lying in bed. I had no problem opening the compartment to insert the batteries and the instructions were very clear. However, I just can't get use to the small size of the mouse. After a while of surfing the net and gaming on-line; my hand starts to cramp. I eventually switched to using my regular sized, wired mouse, it's just more comfortable to use. The Logitech is fine for short-term usage and very portable, I'm sure I'll use it when I travel.

Great product, works for its intended purpose, light weight, nice design, easy to use

I'm a computer systems engineer and there are a lot of systems around here between myself and my family members, all of which were either built by me or ordered and equipped by me. Between that and the myriad of systems I've worked with in my career, I've come across a lot of mice and I've been partial to Logitech wireless mice for several years now. I bought this one as a replacement for a worn out Logitech LX7 on my desktop PC but I actually ordered it by mistake. I meant to buy a larger laser mouse meant for desktops but I'm using it on my desktop right now while I'm typing this review anyway because I really like it. It should go into one of my laptop cases due to it's small size, and someday it probably will, but for now I really like using it every day. I tend to get lazy with a full size mouse sometimes and let my hand slide down the back, so when I go to click one of the buttons I'm actually depressing the back of the button sometimes rather than the center of it. Occasionally that can cause the odd 'mis-click' if I don't move my hand forward a bit. This mouse and the accompanying miniature USB dongle both have a small size that seem obviously designed for a laptop. It fits really well into my hand and that small size never gives me the feeling that I have to 'reach' my fingers to click the buttons. It feels very solid and tracks perfectly. Unlike some previous models this one has no problems tracking across a glossy desktop surface, even though I don't normally use it on one. Cursor movement is smooth and sure, with no lag or jitters whatsoever. I've only had it a month so I can't speak as to longevity, but I'm extremely satisfied with it so far.

I bought a Lenovo x201 laptop last year. I just wanted to buy a small, cordless but powerful mouse that fits my computer well.At first I tried a bluetooth mouse which is a Razor since I wanted to keep the USB slots free for other devices.It works only when it works, I mean, it periodically lose connection with the computer which really drives me nuts.So I decided to try a wireless one and came into this logitech M305 wireless mouse. It took only two days to arrive after I ordered last month thanks to amazon prime. And for the first month using, it functions just like I expected. Ultra-portable, accurate pointing, works on any surface without any mouse-pad, never lose connections, easy to setup(just as the ad, plug the tiny receiver, and forget it), easy to use. just perfect.For those guys who usually bring their computer home, to school or to work back and forth, I strongly recommend this. It takes one of your usb slots, but so what? nowadays most computers' got at least three on them.Pros:- Small, ultra-portable- accurate, easy to use, just like a normal mouse.- easy to setup, battery included in the box, don't need to do anything to install other than plug in the receiver- never lose connectionCons:- takes one USB slot, if it counts a cons- probably not for gaming, and a little bit small for big hands.
