Exploring Creation with General Science, Student Notebook

I didn't buy this when my son started general science this year. I thought it would just be too much writing for him. I also wasn't wanting to spend money on a workbook that might not get used. After my son didn't do so well on a test I decide we needed the workbook. It has in it all the questions that are in the text, along with the lab reports.It's put together to make it easy. It really isn't as much writing as I expected. Its manageable for him. It also gives you more then enough space for writing so you don't need to worry about cramming your answers in. I think this insures that your student is understanding what they are reading. Not only that, but it helps them to remember the main ideas. The things that will be on the test. I am very happy that it has the lab-reports in the back of the book. This is something that you don't get with the text book. It will make the rest of the year so much easier. One more thing. It includes a daily assignment guide. Kids can look to see what it says to read and what pages to do each day. That means no need to plan it all out. (you'll still need to plan to have supplies for the labs of course.) Worth the extra money. I recommend.

This is the perfect companion to Apologia's General Science 2nd edition textbook. It is laid out very well, making it simple for my 7th grader to find and do each assignment. The schedule in the front of the book is great as he can check off completed work and is self guided to what he needs to do each day. Do not be misled if you are unfamiliar with Apologia and this course by the item description calling it a Coloring Book. Well laid out book that is a HUGE time saver versus doing our own notebooking. It is so nice to have this companion to go with the textbook and so much less frustration for the student then attempting to just use the textbook. Worth every penny!

Really a great addition to the apologia textbook. Wonderful to have the questions and summaries there for answering instead of transposing them from the textbook. Lots of other info to help kids classify and remember what they are learning. Also includes a few bible reference sections for kids to look up what htey are learning and see how it falls into line with God's word. Very glad I purchase it.

I highly recommend the study guide if your student is reading Exploring Creation with General Science. I was pleasantly surprised to see a schedule with everything laid out by week at the beginning of the notebook. There are reasonable expectations for the students which helps to foster independence. It is an excellent workbook!

Scam! Used product with children's writing throughout the entire book.

Goes perfectly with the textbook. The pages are designed to be appealing to jr.high level with some "scrapbooking" style look on some of the pages. Myself, I would like it neatly packed in and with more condensed pages to reduce the size of the notebook. It is relatively thick - over an inch at least - (my biggest complaint). Nice spiral binding. Best part of all, if you have used Apologia, you are familiar with study guides, this notebook includes the study guides for each module and provides plenty of room for every answer to be written. All the "on your own" exercises are included along with the experiments and extra notes. I have use this textbook without this notebook before and will be using this textbook again with the notebook for a more hands on learner. This notebook is not required but for some learners will definitely make a huge difference such as reluctant note takers or reluctant textbook learners. If using this notebook, there is no need for another "note"book or extra papers. It is along with the text an "all in one" type of study notebook.

Book was in great condition!

This is much better than using your own notebooks. Very well laid out and interest-catching. It was thicker than I was expecting, but that's a good thing. It's holding up well. We especially love the daily lesson plans at the front of the book that my student can check off on their own.
