Great raincoat! Good idea, good execution, good value!
This raincoat is exactly what it looks like...just better.Pros:-Very high quality!--The seams are all very well done.--The breathing vents at the base of the neck actually work well! (this surprised me)--The material just feels high quality - it is uniform, and only smelled a little like rubber when it came out of the package for the first time - and that smell dissipated within the first 10 minutes of wearing it.-The coat isn't too heavy.-The detachable hood is included.-The arms have snaps at the wrist if you want to add on matching gloves (not included)-The drawstring for the hood works well, and is easily manipulated.-The front snaps are doubled. I'm not sure how to describe this correctly, but its like a double-breasted jacket. One side is snapped to the other, and then another flap is snapped the other way. I'm sorry that this isn't clear. Basically, what this means is that you don't get any cold air flowing through the front of the jacket, making you cold. It is a really nice touch.Neutral:-None so far.Cons:-None so far!Length of time owned: 2 Weeks.

Keeps me dry in pounding rain
I bought these rain coats for Disney World. The ponchos they sell there are a joke -- my seven year old got wet all the way up to his chest in one of the rainstorms.I am 5'4" and I ordered the medium. It comes down to about my ankles, and the arms are about 4 inches too long. But I like it! Too big means more covering! I kept dry in Florida's pounding rain, really dry!The raincoats are much heavier and bulkier than the ponchos. Lots of buttons to keep water out. I didn't have trouble with the buttons falling out like some reviewers reported. They look sturdy. And they feel good in the rain because when it rains, the air gets a bit colder, so the raincoat keeps me warm and comfortable without being clammy. It's bulky and heavy and I bought 2, but I use a stroller to carry all my stuff, so it's no problem packing them around. Also, whenever I get in the freezing air conditioning, I put on the rain coat like a jacket. At first I thought maybe the raincoat is too heavy for vacationing, but after wearing it a couple of days I starting liking it. It felt really good to be strolling down Magic Kingdom in a downpour, without a care in the world, when everybody else is hiding (and stuck) in what shelter they could find, eying me jealously!Made me feel like a princess!

A good slicker at a good price, and roomy
I ordered medium because, I guess, it was the smallest size available. (I no longer recall why I did this.) I am a US women's size 8, and the medium is swimmingly big on me, which isn't altogether a bad thing. I had to fold up the sleeves about 6 inches, but the slicker is big enough to wear a heavy sweater or medium weight coat under, or my purse (as I did today). It's got a nice fold around the snap closures that helps keep rain from coming in the front opening. And it's yellow. Not my favorite color, but I got it for visibility, and so it is.This kept me dry in a medium-heavy rain today.Like any waterproof, it will hold in humidity due to sweat when the temperature is warm. But I like that mine is nice and loose and once I figure out what to do with the sleeve length, I think I'll be very happy (not just "pretty happy" as I am now.)At the price, a bargain.

Awesome Rain Coat
I read the many rave reviews and was still shocked by the high quality design and workmanship of this $14 coat. It's rainy season on the Oregon coast and we plan to hike the trails and stroll the beach, rain or shine. This coat would probably keep me dry even if I worked on a fishing boat in gale force winds. So it far exceeds my needs and expectations for a relaxing seaside vacation. It is designed with carefully considered "work gear" standards and features: "storm sturdy" construction to prevent leakage, including a covered vent in the back for breathability, snaps at the wrists to keep rain out, a snuggy cloth neck collar, a cinchable hood, large pockets with generous cover flaps on the front and envelope snaps down the front will definitely keep me dry.I'm 5'4", 170 lbs and a medium size is large enough for a sweatshirt underneath with room to spare. It hits me about mid calf, which I wanted for possible blowing rain. But it can easily be shortened with scissors. If you're

Just want I needed
I used this for a Coraline Halloween Costume and it was great. It was a little bit long, but it was super easy to cut to the length that I wanted. I continue to use this jacket as well since the jacket is great for rain. The material is really light so if you want to wear it in colder weather, I would layer jackets underneath.

Ludicrously large but good value if it fits
I knew from looking at reviews that this coat was going to be big, but thought I’d chance it anyway because it was so affordable. I wish they made this in a smaller size. The medium is comically large and long. I’m 5’ and it went down to my ankles (which is fine, I would likely stay very dry in this coat). But it was just too huge and bulky and I wouldn’t want to be caught dead wearing it :). The material seems durable. Just a note for anyone wanting to take this on any sort of trip - it is heavy. It folds down into a 6” by 10” (ish) bag but it clocks in at ~3 lbs which makes it not very practical to lug around when not in use. Giving it 3 stars because the material and affordability of this coat are great, but the sizing just makes it completely impractical for normal use.
