Is it going to make my feet too hot if the weather is not cold enough?

These have become my " go to" five fingers. I wear them for everything! I live in southern CA -my feet are warm but not too hot

I can't imagine how these will feel when worn, do they give support and are good for hiking?

If you mean arch support, no. However, my arches are stronger _because_ they don't offer support. The muscles get better exercise. If you've never worn these, you can't suddenly start on a hiking trip. The soles are very different from other shoes, and it's important to adapt your feet, hips, and back gradually over at least two weeks and preferably a month.

My feet hurt far less since I began wearing five-fingered shoes.

I prefer them for hiking unless I'm going to be out in venomous snake country. Then it's safer to wear boots.

Question 3

Are they waterproof. If I walk through a puddle will my feet get wet?

They are not waterproof but I did spray with a water repellant spray and that really helped.  I wouldn’t walk thru water puddles but they are now great to walk through some snow and wet pavement without getting wet toes.  I do periodically respray during the season.

Question 4

Can these shoes be water proofed with a spray or the like?

Probably but there isn’t any sole to raise your foot out of the water, so if there’s any depth to it, you still get wet feet. That said, I wear them in the moist weather in Seattle most of the winter. If we have lots of standing water, I choose other shoes.
