The original APC battery is a single unit, but ...
The original APC battery is a single unit, but this comes as two separate batteries with a short cable to connect them together. It took me quite a bit of effort to slide these batteries into the compartment without the connectors coming off their contacts. I finally resorted to wrapping them with clear package tape to keep them secure. In retrospect it would probably have been helpful to lash the two batteries together with the tape as well.Otherwise it charges up and works as expected. The apcaccess utility for Linux reports that I can expect 27.5 minutes of run time at my 9.0 percent load capacity.

So far so good, fit perfect in APC Back-Ups XS 1300
So far so good, fit perfect in APC Back-Ups XS 1300. These batteries got reasonable reviews and were not the cheapest. But for the reviews it was worth spending a little more and these are still substantially cheaper than the official APC batteries. I noticed that some of the other cheaper batteries leaked since these batteries are mounted on their side. I didn't see any reviews of these leaking so my hopes are high.Attached to this review are pics of the the batteries. I was happy to see the attachment cable to run the batteries in series. It was a little thin though so I used the one off the APC batteries. I was also happy to see it came with double sided sticky tape as well to put the two batteries together. I have better tape than it came with but decided to use what it came with.Everything fit perfect and the batteries had a little charge on them. The UPS was able to cold start. I plugged it into the wall and it charged right up.The battery with the blue labeling is the old APC battery with the sticker peeled off. If the batteries fail/leak what ever I'll update the review. Oh one last thing. My load on this is about 55 watts. It's my 2 drive FreeNAS machine with super low power parts and my like 2 watt MythTV TV machine. The UPS says it should be able to run for about 30 minutes. Yay.Hope this review was helpful.

2 years of life w continious use.
Don't remember how long the originals lasted, but purchased these as a replacement 09/23/2014. UPS beeping, and battery dead on 11/14/2016, so just over 2 years of life - hooked up to my pc and monitor that are used daily (work from home). Ordering a new set.

Renewed my $300 APC Back-UPS RS 1300
These batteries (comes as a set of two) gave my failing UPS another lease on life. For just 10% of the replacement cost of the UPS, this battery set restored my UPS to near-new condition. I say near-new because the other internal parts of the UPS will fail at some point in time, just as all electronics do. The installation was quick and easy, and these batteries came with spare terminal adapters (which I didn't need) as well as a jumper to connect the batteries in series (it was much easier to use this new one than the super-short original wire). With this being my first time at replacing UPS batteries, I completed the task in about 20 minutes, 15 minutes of which were spent trying to use the old jumper wire instead of the longer one that came with the batteries. I can't say enough good things about these batteries, so I'll just summarize by saying that my UPS shows it is fully charged when I checked the display following a night of charging. Thank you for selling these on Amazon and for quick delivery!

Does the job
i live in a house built in 1906. Had to run my own ground through the wall and down to the mains. My APC reads fluctuation of 115 - 120volts on that old knob and two-wire system. so i really need good power protection and the UPS gets thrashed like nothing else. This battery set slipped right in and had all the correctly color-coded terminals. People should know that a good six hours of charging should be allowed before putting on a load, otherwise you will experience days of "Unit has insufficient lifetime" messages. Eventually it catches up. During replacement keep track of the in-line connections before detaching everything as the replacement does not come with instructions.Usage is 140 watts with two systems and some incidentals on, with three systems off plus two printers off. Max usage with all on is 620 watts, which occurs seldom. UPS main purpose clearly is line filtering here for a SOHO.

Unit completely dead after 2 days.
I bought these on 1/28/2019, replaced them in the unit on 2/6/19. On 2/8/19 I came home and the entire battery backup side of my XS1300 was dead. The LED panel wouldn't turn on and the battery back up plugs didn't work. (The battery back up plugs did work with the previous depleted batteries.) I ended up taking it apart and measured the voltage of the batteries. It appeared 1 battery was <1V and the other battery was at ~11V. It's a cheap harbor freight meter so I'm not expecting pin point accuracy. Needless to say I don't know if they fried my XS1300 or my XS1300 was just old because now the LED doesn't even come on and the battery back up plugs don't work. Everything appeared to be fine and the batteries charged to full on 2/6/19, so who knows. Buyer beware.

5 Stars all around. I actually have a 1250VA LCD backup unit. These batteries are good for the following:•BN1250LCD•BR1200LCDi•BR1500LCDI•BX1300LCD•BX1500LCDAPC uses a lot of the same batteries in many of their units. If you are looking for one of the listed...go for it. These batteries fit, were fully charged and work very well...just like the originals.5 Stars to Beiter PC Power. Vicki was great to work with. We went back and forth on many emails and made sure that I purchased the correct product. Worked well after installation. Time will tell if it will last a reasonable amount of time. Packing was "OK" and there was an extra jumper wire included, with attached connectors, to hook together the two batteries.
