Not quite what I expected
Not exactly what I had expected. I had expected a little more lump meat in there, but it was all back fin and legs. I made some crab balls out of it and made do with some Old Bay and mayonnaise. I'll know for next time I'm looking for crab meat for crab cakes.

Know before you buy, doesn’t resemble crabmeat.
Not sure what this was, but it wasn’t even the basic special crabmeat. It was white, had a funny texture and no taste or small. It was almost tiny soft pellets of some kind. Couldn’t use as a fish filling either. Not even appropriate for a stuffing or soup. It was possibly the worst seafood product I’ve ever had.

Have had other canned crab that had no flavor. Really enjoyed this one.

Mush
This crab meat is mush, as in puréed and feels as thought there is also the thin type crab shell in with it. There is a round film on top and bottom like parchment paper or something. Honestly I did not find it tasty but I added some mayo and pepper and it was edible. I was just sampling it and my BF did too and we both agree it will only be good as a crab cakes and so that’s what it will become. I was expecting small chunks of solid crab not a puréed baby food, wet jerky crab snuff chaw. Crab cakes yes, straight from the can hell no.

I’ve never had canned crab before, so maybe they all taste like this, but it was pretty flavorless. 😕

HORRIBLE PRODUCT
First can I opened I was wary but thought I'd check to see if it was just a bad can.. Out of 8 cans ALL THE SAME WHITE MUSH! No such thing as crab anywhere in the can.. white watery mush with no crab flavor at all.. in fact no seafood taste... probably was white shredded tissue paper in water...BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE... Totally ruined a special dinner I was preparing... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

It has the flavor of crab..
It is very, very finely shredded crab meat. It feels like powder between your fingers. It will need a lot of binding fillers to use it in crab cakes. I used it to “thicken” my coconut shrimp curry. It has the flavor of crab but not the texture or satisfaction of eating crabmeat.
