Review: Detailed enough - I bought this short (47 page) booklet as a reference as a hobbyist. There is enough good detail on unit marking and the slight variations of the models of this tank to be of use to the modeller and even history enthusiast. The photos are great, many of which may be first published in this booklet. There are more detailed and lengthly publications on the Tiger tanks, but for the price, this one is very good.

You can't beat squadron reference books for top notch graphics and historical accuracy. Brief and comprehensive.

Good reference book for the King Tiger tank
It's a good reference book, has many photo's of the King Tiger that I haven't seen before. I am disappointed that there wasn't more color photos or drawings showing at least a few more color schemes! As it is, there are only about 3 or 4 color photos, doesn't help much if you are modeling this tank in the different theatre of operations. For that fact I would suggest something different. But for some of the history including some of the different units it was used in, it's ok for that area.

Author is incorrectly identified, but content is good
More data, more photos, more info but correct me if I am wrong but this book was not written by Horst Scheibert but instead by Wolfgang Schneider.

I used this to carry out research. The book does not contain as many photos as I had hoped, but was still worth it

Most pictures are good not a lot of meat in the writing though

48 pages of black and white photographs of the King tiger tank during world war 2 along with brief histories of the Units that used them. There are also good cut-away diagrams of the tank. It is translated from German and some of the English is slightly strange. Modellers looking for details of the camouflage might be disappointed as there are only 5 colour photographs, but it is otherwise an interesting collection of photos for a reasonable price.

Excellent book. Very useful to me as I acquired a Heng Long King Tiger R/C 1/16th model to detail.
