What songs do the frogs sing? Is it suitable for kids?

It's suitable for kids who won't handle it roughly because I'd be worried about breaking something by so expensive. It is absolutely adorable though, my favorite clock of all time.  I only wish I could find the sheep version. The songs are in Japanese so I don't know what they are, but they're super cute. Maybe YouTube videos can tell you? I will warn you, there is one setting where it alarms randomly 24:7 and is loud. I can't figure out why anyone would ever want that! First thing to do is disable that setting. Take notes while you set it (buttons are labeled in Japanese) so you remember for DST. It's not easy, but totally worth it.

I wish I could!  I asked for help from my son's Japanese instructor (Japan native) but even she had difficulty with the way the instructions were worded.  I would make note of the am/pm symbols. (Google them.) Then look at what changes occur as you press different buttons, and make note.  Then use a pin to press the tiny button which  allows you to adjust date/alarm/time settings with the larger buttons.  Then if you still have questions, try to find someone who can read Japanese to help you. (Take more notes, because you will need them for daylight saving time.)  Also, most importantly, there is this very odd feature that makes the frogs sing randomly 24:7.   Its either on or off, no settings times for that feature.  They sang on and off all day and night for 2 solid days before I took the batteries out and then figured out the setting for it! The upper right corner of the display should say "RP off" which stands for random play off.  On the button side, one button is for demo only.  It doesn't do anything else.  That should narrow down the options.   I LOVE this clock, but it takes some work in the beginning.
