Review: Third time's the charm! - Updated Review: I definitely had some problems with my first two microscopes. The second seemed to have been a problem with the USB cable, so that explains that. The first is still a mystery. Maybe wear and tear or something I simply didn't notice. Luckily, with the latest one everything is working as intended. For some reason it works with more functionality with the accompanying software. I'm not sure how that is possible, but I'm definitely not complaining! It's worth noting that I still use this microscope solely attached to my PC via USB cable. I have tried it out wireless with my phone and it worked flawlessly. If you happen to have any problems with your microscope do not hesitate to reach out to the seller - they provide great customer service! - - original review below - - I've gone through two of these microscopes already. I treat them with care, as direct, etc. I really enjoyed the size and design of this microscope, the lighting, just about everything. My first microscope worked great but inexplicably stopped working after about 5 months. It started with losing the picture through the software when using it on my PC. I'd reconnect it, power cycle it, reinstall the software - everything. Eventually it just stopped doing anything. Unfortunately at that point I was well past my return or replace option, so I bit the bullet and bought another one. The second one worked for about two days before I'd lose picture (screen/image would simply go black). I'd have to stop recording and start again and the picture would come back. Then that "fix" stopped working. I'd have to close the software or restart the microscope and then it would work - but for only 2 more minutes, max. That one I was able to return. I still plug in my old one every now and then in hopes it will just start working again. Maybe one day. I really loved this microscope, but it's WAY too unreliable.

**Q: How to use the focus/magnification dial to focus**
A: When you place the scope very close to the object(0-40mm), then you rotate the wheel to focus, first, a lower power will come into focus. Then, if you keep turning the wheel, it will eventually come back into focus at high power.

**Q: Troubleshooting steps and usage tips**
A: When Wi-Fi is connected, but there is no picture: Please turn off other open applications in the phone. This is because the WIFi signal can only be used for the microscope to transmit pictures and videos.

**Q: About Charge**
A: Make sure that the microscope has enough power before use, you could use your 5V phone adapter to charge. Don't use the pc's usb interface to charge directly, because it will automatically enter the camera mode and cannot be charged.

**Q: Setting the microscope to see the specimen**
A: Please select “accept” for the window popping up to access photos. Microscope will store the photos and videos you capture in your photos folder.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great pictures

It was a little quirky to set up. Tried 3 to 4 times with no success. Went back to the instruction sheet to verify I was doing the correct process. I was doing the install correctly. Checked my wifi service and it was fine. Reset the scope to factory settings. Still did not work. I was persistent and for no apparent reason it finally connected through my wifi. I could not save pictures to my iphone without granting full access to my photos. I dont like that it uses it's own unsecure network for wifi. Once you get through all that it really works great. Easy to use and focus. I'm using it to view trichromes. It does an excellent job. Great detail and clear pictures. If you can get past he techy stuff it really is pretty incredible.
