As described. Easy to set up - works effectively. Arrived very quickly.

Remote set up
Did not work out of the box! To set remote to your PVR unit. 1.press power button on PVR to turn unit on. 2.press and hold OK and number 6 buttons together on remote until display on PVR unit changes. ( or 1 to 5 if another remote uses code 6). Works perfectly but as other reviews have stated the 2 AA batteries rattle. some masking tape around battery sorted this but had to reprogram remote again after removing batteries. Hope this helps.

Does what it needs to do
As already mentioned in other reviews, the buttons are a bit stiff (which can be difficult around the central circular buttons) and the batteries rattle (think it needs a bit of padding). Note it requires AA batteries, NOT AAA and it's easiest to slide them in from the top. But given the price, works well and does what it needs to do!

Not an identical replacement, but works with very hard presses on the buttons
Remote did not appear to work, so returned and ordered another one. This was the same, but I then found that it did work by pressing the buttons really hard. Although it has the same model number as my old one which has a dodgy button it is not identical. It is longer, has a different battery compartment and these very stiff buttons. So I will be using two controls - my old one with responsive buttons and the new one for the one button I use a lot !!!!

Replacement HDD remote
Good price, replacement for worn out Panasonic HDD remote, works very well.

Does the job at a reasonable price.
The remote control for our Panasonic hard disk recorder had become worn out and we struggled to use it. The Panasonic replacement was £60. We opted for this model instead which seems very good value. It seems to be very similar to our Panasonic original. Can’t find anything it doesn’t do yet but we have only had it a few days. The only small criticism is with the OK key in the middle of the left,right,up, down arrows. One can accidentally press the arrow keys instead of the OK key, especially if you have fat fingers like me. The Original Panasonic model has an OK key that is raised up and one can’t make that mistake. Apart from that we haven’t found any problems so far.
