What is the size of the balls? 3 mm, 5 mm?? Length of sticks?

The comment that the steel balls are 7mm is wrong. While I don't have a way to measure them accurately they are around 12mm. I believe the part about the sticks being 25mm is correct but again I didn't measure. 2 balls together are just a little bit shorter than a stick.

Do the rods magnetically link to each other?

Yes. There are small magnets within each end of each small rod that will stick to each other or to the small magnet balls.

Can these magnetic building sets be used to make three-dimensional modeling? I'm planning to use these sets in math teaching.
