This is an inexpensive noise gate and does the job perfectly, lots of more expensive models out there but for me at this price point it’s a no brainer. Been using it to silence a compression pedal for recording, I’m really happy with its performance recommended

Good bit of kit, works really well. Helped me dial out the earth hum, until I bought a new power bank which totally fixed my issue. I still use it live though, cuts unwanted noise dead. As with all noise gates, you have to play with it to get the right amount of sustain, or it will drop off to fast.

Bought as a cgeap replacement fir my boss noise gate. Its Good for the price, but struggles to gate high gain compared to more premium pedals ive had before

I had finally got round to building my pedal board. I had been collecting pedals over time and when I'd come to play, I was getting annoyed with the time it was taking to set them all up. Then I'd forget cables, power supplies, etc., and end up annoying myself. My mates had been telling me over and over to build a pedalboard. So, I got a board, and went about assembling the six pedals I though I had, to discover I had nearly double the amount. Yikes! Anyway, once built, isolated power supplies used and quality patch cables utilised, I was still getting noise. I have a couple of different overdrive and distortion pedals along with a boost pedal. If I want to go from clean to overdrive, I'd naturally incorporate some noise. So I asked my mates and they said to stick a noise gate at the end of the chain. Did some research, and this little box came up at about 4th on most lists and the price was right brand new on Amazon. I'd seen good reviews for other Donner pedals although never owned one so: Click, Click and it was ordered. It arrived in a couple of days. Boxed. Nothing really fancy about what you get: pedal and short instruction sheet, but what do you actually need? Stuck it on the end of the chain after the boost and it just works. No noise. The only pedal it can't tame on my board is a Blackstar HT-Distx, but that one's such a nasty beast of a pedal, if you're using it, you've just got to expect you are going to make noise. So I'm well happy with it. It's tiny as well so takes up little space. There's rubber on the base that has to be removed to get velcro to stick to the pedal board, but that's nothing new. It's solidly built and easy to operate. All in all, a cracking little pedal. Did exactly what I hoped it would do. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I moved my music gear to a different room in the house and maybe there is an earthing issue. However, the result was that after moving, I began experiencing a horrible pounding noise from my amp when playing my Telecaster using a distortion pedal. Only the Tele, only with distortion, so clearly "noise" from the single coil pickups. So I bought this Donner noise gate. Put it on the board, adjusted the knob and BINGO - noise gone! Inexpensive, very well packed, and delivered within 24h. Can't fault that. UPDATE. After about 2 weeks mine stopped working properly, led light no longer functioned and when turned off muted my complete pedal chain. Returned.

This is a great little pedal that does the job as well as something three times the price. It’s essentially a noise gate - got an annoying hum in your amp? This will allow you to set a level at which any sound below it will not make it to the amp. Thus, quieter operation. The housing is metal, strong and robust like all of Donner’s range that I’ve tried so far. Really simple to use - just put it in front of your amp and dial the large knob until the noise is gone. The hard/soft knee switch is a nice touch and makes a noticeable difference. For those unaware of what a ‘knee’ is in terms of sound dynamics, it’s a setting that dictates how quickly the noise gate reacts in pulling the signal below the set threshold and then rereleasing it back again. Harder settings are faster but can be more abrupt, lower is slower but can leave slight tails of audio etc. There’s no way of setting this but it does work. I’m not sure of the validity of the true bypass claim as I’m using it in one of the loops of my ES-8 switcher at the moment. A great little peddle for those on a budget or others that just don’t want to spend a fortune to keep their amp quiet. Highly recommended.

I bought this Donner noise gate pedal to reduce/eliminate the dreaded 60 Hz hum from the single-coil pickups on my guitar while recording. I use an audio interface connected to my laptop to record clean guitar tones and keyboards. I connected my guitar to the Donner Noise Gate and then to the Direct In on the audio interface. The interference and noise were unbearable! Trying the soft/hard toggle switch and dialling in settings changed nothing. I then tried it directly into a guitar amp, and the same thing happened. I tried different guitar cables and a different guitar (Strat to Tele), and the problem persisted. All I can say is that it is a junk product and it will NOT reduce any noise whatsoever. On the contrary, it will CREATE ear-splitting distortion and wailing that you really have to wonder how on earth Donner get away with marketing such cheap and poorly made products. Returned for a refund. Avoid this pedal......it will do nothing to fix your single coil noise issues.

Great value and works as expected

As expected as a noise gate do its job to eliminate the noise from my distortion pedals for a minimal price point better than what I have before, this doesn't suck my Guitar tone. The one I had before sucks my guitar tone so I ended up selling it.

Ce Noise Killer est particulièrement bluffant. Il remplit parfaitement sa fonction et son potentiomètre de réglage et ajustement est parfaitement adapté. J'ai désormais 7 mini pédales donner sur mon pedalboard, et je suis vraiment ravi de chacune. Rendu, qualité, robustesse, et efficacité sont au rendez vous
