As it is only 140 lb, I think it does better when stretched. **Q: I love fabriano paper but i find that my art photographs are not white but off-white. is white not white? what can i do?** A: Most traditional "white" watercolor paper is an off white shade. You can look for special white papers that do have more true white shade, such as; Fabriano Artistico Extra White Watercolor Paper and Arches Bright White Aquarelle Watercolour Paper . These are also sold online at other specific art supply sites. Great thickness ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for stamping and then watercoloring *by G***L on March 9, 2024* This is not my first time purchasing Fabriano Hot Press Watercolor paper. I had never heard of hot press until I saw a crafter using it in a video. I love to do watercolor and had always used the super good cold press paper, but sometimes if I used a stamp I had to stamp it up to 4 times to get a good impression. With hot press paper you just stamp once and then watercolor. The paper can take quite a bit of paint and water which surprised me. It is also amazing for ink blending. I take my finished projects and turn them into cards. This paper also cuts very easily with my paper trimmer. This is the ‘good stuff’ and is worth the price for me. After putting the work in on a project I dont want it to just be ‘OK’. I want it to look spectacular and that is what this paper gives me. I will keep purchasing this from Amazon as it is a good price and quality paper. I wish people had told me long ago that ‘Paper Matters’!!
